Inside Look at Lamar Odom's Candy Addiction
Lamar Odom is a candy addict! Remember last week, we learned that the Los Angeles Lakers power forward fuels his body on mini-candy bars and Gummy Bears. He says eating candy before games helps him play better.
Now check this out. ESPN followed Lamar's personal assistant around as he shops--AND SHOPS--for Lamar's goodies. The video is amazing! Sometimes, Lamar actually wakes up at 3 in the morning, eats some candy and then goes back to sleep.
Wow! In a way saying, "Who cares? You only live once. Eat as much candy as you can eat" - it's very philosophical, but at the same time, I imagine dentists across the country have just dropped dead.
Oh, and I got a question, exactly what was his barber cutting? The dude's got a head like a Milk Dud - pun intended!

Wow - how strange. I wonder if he eats any real food
ReplyI suspect he is not cutting his hair rather he is shaving his "milk dud". I also suspect buddy won't be happy with your pun.
I know a lady in her 90's who eats around a 1000 calories a day. 20% of her calories are from chocolate and about 10% from whisky. She still does her own yard work. There is no magic formula.
Reply"...but at the same time, I imagine dentists across the country have just dropped dead."
Or they just pulled out the latest Mercedes brochure and hope this guy walks into their office! :-)
ReplyEating candy doesn't automatically give you cavities. It's not brushing your teeth regularly that'll do it. I eat candy all the time, but I also eat a lot of fruits and veggies that help to clean off my teeth as well. Maybe Lamar does the same thing; you never know.
ReplyThats insane! I felt sick just watching him eat all that sugar!
ReplyI think probably because his practices and games are so intense and require a large amount of energy the candy is giving him a quick and easy way to replenish his energy stores.
I agree! Watching that made me feel sick too. I thought I may be a little envious that he can get away with eating candy all the time. But no! It just looked like I'd be sick.
ReplyBut what happens when retirement comes and he's still got that sugar addiction (because that's what it is)? I don't think he'll be able to quit cold turkey. He's got sugar coursing through his veins.
Replysurely, even though he's not gaining huge amounts of weight or whatever, he's still putting himself at huge risk of developing diabetes/insulin resistance?
