Celebrity Weighing Scales
Angry Associates make a couple of novelty weighing scales. Why bother with pounds or kilograms when you can compare your weight to historical figures and other celebrity characters?
At the top end of the scales is Mr. Ed, Hulk Hogan and King Kong. If that doesn't satisfy, there is always the animal scales - with pictures of animals from a duck to a pig...
The novelty scales are sold by Irish company Angry for €35 plus shipping (via Cool Hunting).

Nice find. I guess they know what motivates people. If I saw that I weight as much as King Kong, I would probably go into King Kong rage to lose all that weight.
ReplyThat's a cute idea :) I remember thinking I weighed about as much as Brett Favre when I was at my heaviest, but he's got a good 10" of height on me. That really motivated me.
Must be a pretty high capacity scale to go as high as Mr. Ed...horses are pretty heavy. Some weigh almost half a ton. But I can definitely see putting King Kong on there. That's awesome. If I stepped on a scale and it said I weighed as much as say, Roseanne Barr, I think I'd be pretty motivated to drop some pounds.
ReplySpectra,
"Must be a pretty high capacity scale to go as high as Mr. Ed..."
They can create a whole new product line with the same theme, such as weight lifting equipment indicating how many pounds Arnold, King Kong, etc could bench press, squat, etc If one sees that they can only squat as much as a rabbit, that could get some people going as well.
Replycute :-)I bet weigh more than a chicken annd less than Mr. Ed
ReplyCute.
ReplyI don't think it would be at all good for my self esteem, but cute.
Sounds really cute. I'd buy it.
ReplyI feel that this is very sad as we are comparing ourselves with this scale to others we would like to be like. It just sounds to me that we are just says we are not good enough and we need to be like others that are well known.
Replythis is hilarious!
ReplyThe gym I go to (Women only, not Curves) has a scale with no numbers but with words. Today I weighed "Awesome!"
Replythats tarded. and for re-re's.
