The Maple Syrup Diet Fad

Of course it’s not just any maple syrup but an organic “Madal Bal Natural Tree” syrup (UK distributor / USA distributor). Consequently, sales of the product are soaring.

The Master Cleanse Claims

According to Beyonce:

“I lived on water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup for 14 days. It was tough; everyone was eating and I was dying.”

  • 10 day diet of water, cayenne, and maple syrup
  • Lose 20 pounds like Beyonce
  • Increased energy levels
  • Detoxify organs and glands to improve the metabolism and boost mood and sex drive
  • Anti-aging
  • Increased muscle building ability
  • Decreased fat storage

The Downside of the Diet

What did Beyonce do after enduring her maple syrup ordeal?

“After that I ate waffles, fried chicken, cheeseburgers, french fries, everything I could find.

“That was the best time of my life. I’ve gained twelve pounds.”

  • Living on a maple syrup concoction for days on end will probably leave you: weak, with less muscle, a lot less glycogen (in the form of fluid loss), and probably very grumpy.
  • A major problem of the diet is that it lacks protein, fiber, and nutrients from fruits and vegetables. You risk muscle loss, fatigue, and overall, malnutrition.
  • There is no evidence that this diet fad will help you age well or help you build muscle. In fact, it may do the opposite!
  • You will likely regain most of that weight that you lost. Anytime quick drastic weight loss is involved, be wary of your long term results.

      Lee Lee that should tell you that there is no standard or “best” recipe. It’s a fad diet, so it doesn’t matter much which recipe you use.

    I have been feeling very weak and lathargic on this lemon, kayanne, maple syrup diet. I drank some coffee, had a protein shake, some organic natural soda and I feel like a million bucks. I basically wanted to do it for the liquid fast. Any suggestions?

    The maple syrup diet I have been on for 30 hours and I hate it. I have diarrhea, dizzy, no energy and have felt very tired while on it. Not for everybody.

      Your body was getting rid of a lot of the extra garbage in your body. 30 is not long enough to process a meal, let alone all the stuff that has been sitting in your body.. Try it again and dedicate 3 days to it no matter what. You will feel better after that time because your body would have gotten rid of the toxins in your body and excess body waste (yes, crap). I did it for 40 days rested for 3 and did it again and lost 50lbs-I am doing it again now to lose the rest of the 50lbs I want to lose. From 250 to now 190 and going to hit 140-45, after 20 years of saying I was going to lose weight, Yes, I am good. Kids are proud of me too. Also, I did not exercise at all btw.

    i am vegetarian, have been for 30 years, and am always complimented on my skin.

      I agree, I like a high vegie high protein diet. That is when I feel the best. Mostly vegie

    pretty bias post. The poster obviously has never tried the cleanse. I feel great on the cleanse, really cannot believe how good i look and feel. Beyonce needed to lose weight fast for a movie they were shooting, so her motivation wasnt sound.

    Did I read somewhere you can replace the maple syrup with molasses?

      Yes, that is for people who have diabetes and are not processing the sugar in syrup properly. You do half and half at first and then gradually go directly with the syrup once their body can process it. Read the accurate way to do it directly from the original writer. I want to say his name is Stan Wright but i am too lazy to go downstairs to get the book. sorry, it is 225am. I did it just because i didn’t want to pay for the syrup at first, but I got better results with the syrup.
