Hi all,
I am a bit discouraged. I am on day 10 of Phase 1 of the south beach diet and was down to 154.6.(almost 6 pounds total) 3 days ago. Over the past 3 days my weight has crept up to 156.4, even though I have been followinig the diet to the t and working out (including lifting).
Any suggestions? I am just going to keep plugging away and today I am going to buy a little something to boost the fiber because I am experiencing some constipation. (no secrets here, huh ;))
Has anyone experienced the same??

The fact that you are having some constipation could well account for the increase on the scale. Other things are the time of the month. Our weight can fluctuate as much as 5 or more pounds in a day! This is why it is a much better idea to only step on the scale at most once a week or once every couple of weeks rather than everyday.
ReplyThere's your problem right there. You gotta have more fiber as well if your on a south beach diet. Your metabolism is slowing down.
ReplyI just started taking Benefiber Orange since I know I don't get enough fiber. It's really good, and does seem to help me.
