I am doing the 43 day sublingual hcg diet. I have been on it now for 27 days and have lost 16 lbs so far. I have followed the diet strictly but have not lost anything in 7 days now. I did the "apple day" and still have not lost. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try next?

How about not going on some fad "diet" and learn how to eat for the rest of your life? Sublingual HCG diet? Come on. Do you really want to be buying those pills for the rest of your life? Plans like Weight Watchers, the South Beach diet, and Volumetrics are all good programs to look at for long-term strategies to change how you're going to eat for the rest of your life. Basically, you need to eat mostly fruits, veggies, and lean proteins and cut down on simple carbs and empty calories. Also, do you exercise at all? Adding that to your program can really make a difference.
ReplySpectra your ignorce shows. Do some research this diet has been around for nearly 50 years and is based on extensive research. Go to the source not the critics and form an educated opinion based on facts. For those of us whose bodies act differently than the lucky who are skinny, this is a blessing. Not only does it help by taking off some weight and getting you going, it also provides an opportunity to break the sugar and carb cravings, reset your endocrine system, and learn some better eating habits.
ReplyTKADAWN, I have heard from my doctor that this program is not effective for more than 28 days at a time. I would recommend taking a 6 week break, eating healthy as you have now been doing and try again if you need to. Good luck and don't let the ignorant people get you down. Good for you for doing something to help yourself.
You don't have to be lucky to be skinny; apparently you're the ignorant one here. I used to be obese and decided to get healthy, so I changed my eating habits and started exercising. I lost weight at a rate of about 6-10 lbs a month and I didn't use any HCG to do it. If you're ingesting HCG, you're not really getting any of the benefits of the hormone because you break it down in your stomach...it's basically a placebo effect. If you're talking HCG injections, that's a slightly different thing, but messing with your body's hormone balance with supplements is something that you really shouldn't take lightly.
ReplyI just started the HCG diet myself. 6 days and lost 8 lbs. I did my time with eating healthy and exercising and couldn't lose. From the research I did you do hit a plateau and one point but if you continue you will start to lose weight again. Keep it up! I don't plan on staying on this for a long period. It's supposed to reset the hypothalamus and increase metabolism. So we'll see if it works for me! But it definitely is helping with my carb cravings. :-) Good luck!
ReplyYou have to be careful you are not eating too little food, that can stop weight loss. Also if you are doing exercise or strenuous work that will burn too much calories. In women there may be some water retention during or near your monthly period, so there is usually little or no weight loss during that time. I have done this diet 3 times each time for 35-40 days. and have lost over 60 lbs in total. I started at 265 lbs and am now at 205. I have been on the HCG Sub lingual and I have used the injections once. With the injections your body seem to develop an immunity to the HCG that does not happen with the Sublingual. It is important that you also measure your self, I had a week I din not loose pounds but lost inches. Stick it out. Hope this helps.
