Absolutely not! That is just one more gimmick marketed by the weight loss industry, and yes it is an industry. First, you have to change your outlook on the entire situation. Dieting implies a temporary modification of food intake and thereby will be temporary in results received. In order to attain and maintain a healthy weight for your lifetime (not just this month), you must adopt a lifestyle change of eating wholesome foods.
Step one is to begin educating yourself on the proper way to supply nutrition to your body. In the course of doing this, you will find out what is good for you, what is bad for you, and most importantly WHY things are bad for you. I promise - once you recognize exactly what sodas, fast food, junk food and other stuff really does inside your body, that will be just about all the motivation you need to leave it alone.
With that said, sugar has been proven a more addictive substance than cocaine so the process of slowly removing all the crap sugar intake from your daily routine is going to take some time. BUT it CAN be done. Take baby steps like slowly reducing your soda intake until you no longer drink sodas of any kind (including diet). Then switch from white breads and pastas to whole grain varieties. Over time you will notice your body sliming and you will begin to FEEL better overall.
There is a wealth of information available to you on the internet so this process should cost you nothing. Just do your homework and remember to understand WHY you are making changes so that they will stick. Good luck.
I used a download that I got online and I found it pretty helpful. Every time I have dieting, I walk around feeling like I can't eat this, I can't eat that, but when I tried the hypnosis, I had just kind of a reminder in my head that I was going toward health and wellness and that actually really helped me to stay on course. And I found it easier to do so. It was like having a constant coach with me whispering in my ear. I have lost almost 50 pounds since I started about 10 months ago. I shared about it in my blog lilasweightlossblog.blogspot.com. I used the think & shrink plan. I just downloaded it off there site www.thinkandshrink.com

Through the years I have tried many diets and they all have failed. Two months ago I started going to Raleigh Hypnosis and from that day my eating habits changed. I have lost 24 lbs. and I do not crave the sweets and chips that I once thought I could not live without. Hypnosis has helped me develop confidence in myself and helped me to eat healthy!
I use paul mcCenna 'I can make you thin' there is a CD which helps you use visualisation techniques. Such as visualising a thinner you, what it would be like to have more energy, choose healthy foods, etc. It is a book with an eating program and CD. If nothing else it makes me feel positive
Self control is what you need. Fewer calories in than used.
