I Feel Stuck: HELP!!

Vote 0 Votes

I'm a mom of two small children. I started out at around 240 Feb. 14, 2009. As of today I weigh 207. I'm 5'2, and muscular. I tend to build muscle very easily. I have been at my current weight for about a month now. I'm stuck, and I don't know what to do. I recently increased my workouts, they are as follows.(I've been doing this for about a week now)

  • Monday & weds- Boot Camp at my gym for one hour. (intense class, stacks, everything is covered)

  • Friday- Copy my Boot Camp class

  • Tues, Thurs,Sat, Sun, - Cardio at the gym for about an hour to an hour and fifteen mins.

I burn anywhere from 600 calories to about 800 calories everyday.

I don't know what I can do to continue to loose weight? I've researched weight loss targets, and I think I would be happy at 150. Even though that's still considered overweight for my height and age(22). I want to loose about 60 more pounds. What can I do to get there?? Any suggestions?

What are you eating? How many calories do you take in a day? What do you drink throughout the day?

  • Stop keeping track of the amount of calories you burn, and keep track of the calories you eat. Try eating as many calories as your body needs to maintain your size, without keeping in mind the calories you burn.

Try to make sure your diet has a lot of protien and good fats. Most people cut those out and it will leave you feeling lethargic, and you won't be able to work as hard during your fitness training.

Mix it up a bit, maybe drop one of your cardio workouts for a weight training session. You obviously are a member of a gym, so try doing a Body Pump class. The toning will shrink your size without your weight neccessarily dropping, so make sure to measure yourself.

Most importantly, stay optimistic!! Sure it seems hard right now, but the weight will drop off! If you get bored, try a new work out routine or give pilates a go. Whatever you do, don't give up.

Have faith in yourself and keep motivated. You're worth it!

Thank you!! I drink a lot of water. But I really dont eat much during the day. Dinner is a meal I make for my family so its not really controlled. Thank you all. If you have anything more to say please feel free to post.

Your body may just have too many toxins which need to be released. I am using a product that is helping me reduce inches as well as weight in a healthy and safe manner. I would be happy to share with you if you are interested.

Hi there, hope I can help. I am 5'3" and 56 years old, almost always overweight and can bore you to death with every minute of every failure, but there are a few things I have learned over the years of "fatness"--half of the time it is all in your head. You've accomplished a great deal in a perfect amount of time and now that I am injured, permanently, I am unable to do much exercising at all--so keep it up, every day and keep your weight off now while you're young. I still remember how FAT and a FAILURE when I weighed 190 lbs. Now it's 30 years later and I'm 238 and down from 257. So 190 is looking pretty good to me right now.
Take a deep breath, enjoy where you are every day and ignore your scales. Most experts say throw it away (I've never been able to) but if you obsess about it, the only thing you will feel is rotten and stuck. PLEASE eat more, rev up your metabolism and see what you think about the eat-clean diet. I've just started, have never been happier, and eat every three hours (all solid, raw and non-processed foods) All the best and gee, if I sound just like a nagging mom, sorry. We wish us all luck, and so happy I found this web-site. Marjie
