Beware of "Unknown" Cholesterol in Fried Foods

I'm not big on cholesterol. That's why I don't eat meat and greasy foods. At this point, if I tried to, I'd probably drop dead on the spot.

Now, we all know hamburgers and steak have saturated fat and cholesterol, which leads to heart attacks, but fried and processed foods may pack another cholesterol punch.

Food Stamp Users May Get Fat

Call me insensitive, but if someone is on food stamps, I assume they're hungry, underfed and skinny, not at increased risk of becoming obese!

It's ironic, but it may be true. A new study shows a "strong linkage" between U.S. Food Stamp Programs and weight-gain.

So, what's the problem? It comes down to money. Food stamps might feed you, but not feed you healthfully.

Giant Pez Dispenser Told to Pez Off

The makers of Pez--the ammunition clip of the candy world--are calling for the head of the world's largest Pez dispenser, a giant snowman on display at the Museum of Pez Memorabilia in Burlingame, California.

Curators of the museum say the 7 foot, 10 inch snowman pays homage to the well-known candy. But, the Pez Candy Company isn't blushing, filing a lawsuit with the U.S. District Court, demanding the behemoth be melted down.

According to The Onion, "Yum! Brands" unveiled the product innovation that may change the way Americans stuff fast food into their gaping maws.

Blast Ketchup and Mustard on Your Hotdog

Things You Never Knew Existed

First came the glass bottle that you couldn't get the ketchup out of, then the plastic squeeze bottle, followed by the upside down squeeze bottle and now, ketchup comes out of a gun.

You'd think this sort of thing would be an American invention, but surprisingly it's an import from our sophisticated neighbors across the pound, selling for £14.95 in Great Britain.
