Giant Pez Dispenser Told to Pez Off
The makers of Pez--the ammunition clip of the candy world--are calling for the head of the world's largest Pez dispenser, a giant snowman on display at the Museum of Pez Memorabilia in Burlingame, California.
Curators of the museum say the 7 foot, 10 inch snowman pays homage to the well-known candy. But, the Pez Candy Company isn't blushing, filing a lawsuit with the U.S. District Court, demanding the behemoth be melted down.
The giant Pez dispenser is actually the Guinness record holder, and is made from the same material as the snack-sized versions. The museum, which houses more than 550 Pez dispensers, insists the company should embrace it.
Yeah, that's probably not going to happen. According to the museum's lawyer, the Pez Candy Company is demanding all the profits the Museum of Pez Memorabilia made over the past 14 years. The museum was founded in 1995.
Listen, I think Pez is overreacting and being big brother-ish, but grown people who collect candy dispensers at the very least need their heads examined.

Pez is the reason eBay exists is it not?
And w-t-f is this? If someone made a 7 foot, 10 inch figurine of me that pays homage to my awesomeness, I sure as hell would embrace it.

ReplyPez is the reason eBay exists? I always thought it was Beanie Babies. Oh well...maybe we're both right. Basically eBay started as a giant trading site for overgrown kids who collect stupid toys that most people really don't care about, lol.
ReplyThe developer of Ebay started Ebay for a way for his wife to find PEZ despensers. Oh, what would we do with out PEZ candy?
