28 Tainted Weight Loss Pills
The FDA recently issued a warning about a number of tainted diet supplements. Many of the products claim to be "natural" or contain only "herbal" ingredients - but actually contain pharmaceutical ingredients.
An FDA analysis found that the undeclared active pharmaceutical ingredients in some of these products include sibutramine (a controlled substance), rimonabant (a drug not approved for marketing in the United States), phenytoin (an anti-seizure medication), and phenolphthalein (a solution used in chemical experiments and a suspected cancer causing agent). Some of the amounts of active pharmaceutical ingredients far exceeded the FDA-recommended levels, putting consumers' health at risk.
The following supplements are listed on the FDA alert:

and yet.... we're going to keep having us gullible public buying them, putting more chemicals and toxins into our bodies, interacting with and upsetting our body's own bio-chemistry all in the name of reaching the cherished 'Thinland,' only to reach 'yo-yo land instead.' Give us a pill that takes 2 seconds to swallow and we'll bypass all our common sense in return for an apparent quick fix!
ReplyThanks for that list!

It has to be more listings like this one.
But I think most of the listing should be made by people who have tried "magic pills" like these.
Pseudo supplements like these are very harmful for the psychic of the people. Imagine that you want to lose weight and buy pills from the list.
You won't achieve result and will stop believe that it is possible to get thin.
Bad marketing truth.
ReplyI bought a product off of prothinspo it is called crave control it has hoodia in it and you just spray it in the mouth and it makes you not hungry and makes food and soft drinks taste nasty for an hour or so... thank goodness this doesn't have any side effects I am totally hooked.. lol
ReplyThank you for that interesting report, and lucky me none of the products we have reviewed is in that list.
Replythanks for you introduction, and every womem want weight loss, but don't know which method is better..
ReplyAmazing...
People are actually promoting their magic diet fixes on a blog post that gives yet another reason NOT to buy into these stupid and dangerous drugs.
ReplyOmg i havnt heard of half of those supplements. =/ i know diet pills are not "magical". But thats besides the point. We put these pills in our body not knowing what harm they can create. Just to lose that 20 lbs or so. These drugs arnt created for our body to handle. All the chemicals which can end up doing more harm. Thats why people get sick or even get heart attacks. We just need to do it the natural way.
ReplyThank you for that report. It was really interesting and helpful.
ReplyScary thought of how many scams are out there. The FDA really should look into regulating it more.

ReplyYet another claim that a common and contagious virus is linked to some cases of obesity is in the news today.but have weight loss pills need carefully.
ReplyWe don't gain weight because of a lack of taking diet pills. So taking diet pills is not the answer.
The reason people gain weight is that they eat the wrong foods and have sedentary lives.
I know a lot of people take diet pills because they think they can get away with a less healthy diet, but I think it's a dangerous and expensive game many people play.
ReplyI bought Metabothin online because I found out that Metabolife 356 has been banned a few years ago.
Metabolife 356 was superb and I was able to keep my weight to 103lbs (I am only 5'2") for a long time. I have not taken any diet pills for over 5 years now .
I decided to start taking Metabothin which has been advertised as having milder potency but similar ingredients as Metabolife. I received the bottle in the mail and noticed the seal had come off but I wanted to play it safe so I returned the bottle. I am curious at this point if anyone knows what Metabothin caplets should look like. Medication error is the #1 cause of fatality as a result of carelessness in hospitals, as we all know.
Oh by the way, I counted the caplets before I returned the bottle. It was supposed to contain 90 caplets. It contained 91.
ReplyWhen it comes to diet pills the only one that I ever saw work was Metabolife 356. Has anyone had a chance to read the book out about it yet?
ReplyLuz, you really need to get the book, I used Metabolife to great success, never had any issues whatsoever ... I thought the book was going to be another "business" story, but once I started reading it was really entertaining. It will shock and amaze you. The FDA along with the IRS targeted the company, the owner, his family, his associates ... to the point where one killed himself ... and there was no evidence to support any of it.
ReplyI recommend that any of you who used Metabolife or just want a really good read, look for The Metabolife Story: The Rape of Cinderella. My sister said she found it and bought it at www.themjellisgroup.com because Amazon was sold out.
