Chocolate Addict? Try The Chococlock
They call it the "Chococlock" and for just $37.10 you can feed your chocolate addiction on the hour, every hour. That's if you're quick enough!
Every 60 minutes the shutters open and a piece of chocolate pops out, but you've only got 30 seconds to grab it. If not, the chocolate goes back in and you'll have to wait whole hour before it opens again. So not fair.
But, if you're jonesing for a chocolate fix, you can always use the cheat button. Demonstrated here, via SeriousEats:
Sellers of the Chococlock suggest using it as an incentive to work harder and faster, but for most of us. I suspect the only way that'd work is if the clock dispensed shots of tequila or painkillers.

"..." I don't think I'm required to say anything here.
ReplyI think we have another use for hammer time :-)
ReplyUm, what?
ReplyWhoa. Weird stuff. i wonder what the point is? It seems like a good gift for competitive teenage girls.
Replyi'm a chocoholic; and this would not work because i'd hit the cheat button half way through each hour. its cute and novel, but doesn't deter anyone from eating less chocolate. knowing me, i'd have the thing set right next to me, ready for me to grab my chocolate.
ReplyNot really sure what to think of this. I personally don't think I'd be very motivated by it.
ReplyI dunno if it would motivate me, but it might keep me from snacking less when I have chocolate around the house. I'll often have a half a bag of chips left over from baking something, this clock would keep me from eating them by the handful! :)
ReplyThats really funny
ReplyThat is pretty funny! I wonder how large those pieces of chocolate are that fit in there?
ReplyScrew the clock, I would just go to the store and buy more chocolate, any time I want. ;p
