Please make sure you enter your correct email address or else I won't be able to contact you.

I need new workout gear because I have successfully lost 21 pounds after years of struggling with my weight. I want to reach my goal this year and this workout gear will help me a lot with my efforts. I also believe in 'paying it forward.' This workout year will also help those in my circle of influence. I have lead walking groups and encourage other women in my community to live a healthier life.
ReplyI need this workout gear because it will help me to finish reching my weight loss and health goal. I've struggled for too long with weight problems. I also believe in paying it forward. I lead walking groups, so I will give great use to the shoes, pedometer and the bag will help me be prepared to work out daily.
ReplyI need new workout gear because I've gone broke from spending this year studying abroad in England! I've lost 30lbs since November, and my sneakers are full of holes from all the jogging and walking. But, I can't afford anything beyond tuition, (healthy) food, and housing with the miserable dollar-to-pound exchange rate. What little extra I have, I'm saving for a travel-Europe fund. I'd like to take advantage of the proximity to mainland Europe and roam all over before the school year is over. It would be fun to track how many steps I take in each country, or how many different countries those Beach Trekker shoes have walked in!
ReplyI need new workout gear because I need every bit of encouragement and motivation to continue on track with my path to health and fitness.
I really have no workout wear and it is embarrassing to be out there especially in what I do have to wear....
It would be awesome as most new things we get are for the kids...
ReplyI need new workout gear that fits. I've lost nearly 50 pounds now and everything is way too loose!
ReplyI need new workout gear because exercise has been my sanity for the last two months while I have been unemployed and, because I am not working, I cannot buy new gear. I have been wearing torn up sweatpants, baggy t-shirts and old worn shoes. I will continue to wear this getup if I need to; exercising has kept me positive and healthy during this traumatic time and it has and will change my attitude towards a healthy lifestyle for years to come.
ReplyI need new workout gear because I'm over half way to my goal weight!!!! and while I was participating in an aerobic class the other day, I realized that underneath my clothes I look a lot different, but my current gym attire is doing nothing for my new bum, arms, or abs! My current workout clothing is baggy, faded, and unflattering, and who doesn't love new gadgets and workouts accessories!?!
ReplyI need new work out gear because I've been exercising so much that I've worn out my old gear! My shoes are old, and my white shirts have yellow sweat stains. If I get new work out gear, it will not sit in my closet unused, I will use the gear until it is completely worn out!
ReplyI don’t really need any new workout gear since my closets are overflowing with all kinds of stuff I’ve been given by the drug companies for writing prescriptions for their drugs. It’s amazing all the free stuff they give you when you are a doctor! Patients don’t even have to ask me for drugs like the commercial says. If I need a new pair of running shoes, Mrs. Brown is going on Prozac, that’s all there is to it. The new drug reps don’t even feel they have to ask me to prescribe their latest product any more, now they just ask me what size I wear! Oh yeah, I also know all kinds of secret stuff about weight loss, diseases, and things, but I can’t tell you about them because I promised Kevin Trudeau I wouldn’t say anything.
ReplyBut I like free things so if you want to give it to me, I’m sure I can make room in the closet, or just add an addition onto the house with more storage space.
I need new workout gear because sweat stain yellow is not the new black, and using a fanny pack to transport stuff would just exacerbate the sorry condition of my wardrobe.
ReplyI need new workout gear because it's time I start tracking my progress with a pedometer. That's all I really need.
ReplyI need new workout gear to work off all this extra Beer I've acquired, by marrying a man named Mr. Beer! Seriously, he weighs 190 pounds and thats a lot of extra weight to carry around (in addition to my extra 30lbs since the wedding)! Help me reduce it and look fabulous in the process. :)
ReplyI don't need new workout gear to motivate me to start exercising, or inspire my kids, or run for office, or because I have a sad story to tell.
I need new workout gear because exercise is a way of life for me--an absolutely everyday must that helps me to feel alive, inspired, and vital. This is lifestyle that certainly didn't used to be for this formally obese teenage girl, and no mater what happens in my future life, I want to continue to exemplify the wonderful, positive things that being active and challenging your body creates.
ReplyI need new workout gear because I've never had the joy of breaking in quality workout gear. All of the sneakers, pants, shorts, and gym bags I've ever used have been hand-me-downs. Yes, I've received the occasional fitness-related gift, but too often these didn't fit and could not be returned as they were last chance clearance items.
Maybe that's part of the problem. I need new workout gear because my extra weight makes me a hard-to-fit size, and no one can see the slim me within! Heck, I'd like to meet the slim me within someday...presumably she's been waiting to emerge since I started putting on weight during puberty.
And what, pray tell, is more motivational than new workout gear...gear that wows the usually half asleep individuals who share the locker room in the early morning hours? When I feel like a million bucks because I know I look like a million bucks, doing an extra half hour on the elliptical is suddenly no problem at all!
That, in a nutshell, is why I need new workout gear.
ReplyI need new work out gear to gift to my mother. I'm an athlete at the division one collegiate level, and my mother has recently gained weight. She bought a treadmill and has started walking on it (yay!) but she is lacking in workout gear, and I want to keep her motivated. I'm so proud that shes started doing something great for herself and I would like to show my support and give her some new gear!
ReplyI need new work out gear because.... Well because I don't have any nor can I afford to buy any. I am a single mother and I have been on a diet now for almost a month and this would really help to keep me motivated and reach the desired weight I would like to be. Thank you.
ReplyI need new workout gear because I'm trying not only to get in shape for when my boyfriend comes home from Iraq in May, but also to make working out not something I just do for special occasions like this, but a real part of my every day life.
ReplyI need new workout gear to help get me out of the gym for my excercise. I would walk outside more, but I never know how far I am going and I feel silly in my current mis-matched, ill-fitting gym clothes. While I can make an excuse not to drive to the gym (save the gas! By the time I get there I will have to leave to go to an activity!) I can't really make an excuse to not go for a run in my neighborhood. By selecting me you can help stop global warming and help get inspired to work out all over again!
ReplyI need new workout gear because one of my cats decided to use my laundry basket as a litterbox and peed all over my things. Most cat owners know that cat pee ruins everything it touches. My workout clothes happen to be in the laundry basket, waiting to be washed. Nothing says love like a cat peeing on your clothing.
ReplyI need new workout gear because the ones I have now are a little too big and I plan on loosing more but I don't want to buy new clothes all the time just when I reach my goal. I've lost a little weight from working out all the time and eating better. But when I do have to buy new clothes for my new size it creates more motivation.
ReplyI need new workout gear because I ride a bike four miles to and from work every day all the while wearing scrubs! On my off days, I usually get my exercise pushing a bike trailer with my twin girls in it and encouraging my four year old son to keep up the pace on his bike so we can play at the "Castle park" before the sun goes down. With new workout gear, I'd be better motivated to get out there to continue to be Green and get fit by choosing the Carbon-negative way to get around! I'm sure that as cool as I would look with my new workout gear, I'd inspire others to choose the Green way too. Plus, I could really use the bag to keep my scubs neatly packed for work.
ReplyI need new workout gear because I want to give it to my brother. My brother cannot afford workout gear (he takes care of my disabled father.) but needs to lose weight -- part of the reason my father needs so much care is lifestyle issues that I see my brother following as well! I cannot afford to purchase him anything, since I have a baby on the way, but it just breaks my heart when I try to go help him work out and see him having to exercise in the only clothes he has - Goodwill work pants and shoes, t-shirts rife with holes... Good gear can provide comfort to workouts, and mentally provide legitimacy where one might be otherwise embarrassed. While I don't need workout gear myself, I cannot think of anyone more deserving or in need than my little brother. He cannot post here himself (internet costs, too!), so I want to post for him.
ReplyI Really need Workout Gear Because!
ReplyI just joined a local gym and I am doing a 12-13 week Awesome Body transformation which I began on March 24, 2008. I'ts costing me $49 per month and startup fee's for this, and not to mention the high price of gas, so there's no extra money. I'm eating 5-6 small healthy meals a day, and taking vitamins and supplements. So you know how exspensive this can get. For example, A loaf of 100% wheat bread cost $2.50-$3.50 verses plain white bleached bread at .97 cents, not to mention the price of good vitamins and supplements, juicer, olive oil, colon cleansers etc. I'm off to a great start, as I don't drinks soda's, coffee and rarely ever eat cake or candy and I stay away from fried foods.
I am a 56 year old male Viet Nam Vet diagnosed with By-Polar disorder. I'm 5'10" tall and I weigh 235 pounds, with a 42" waist. I'm obese and at 33% body fat and my health is in danger. My goal is to lose 35-45 pounds of body fat and to gain 10-15 pounds of lean body muscle by June 24,2008 approxamately 90 days and I plan on getting into my 15 year-old 38" 501 blues in 4-6 weeks and possibly a 36" waist, so I won't have to buy anymore jeans for a while. I'm also going to get off of high blood preasure, antidepressants, pain pills, muscle relaxers and all other prescribed and over-the counter medications.
1) With me working out every other day for strength training I need a carry-bag for my gym clothes, shoes for the sauna, water bottles, supplements, towels. lock, key's, wallet etc. I'm tired of using Wal-Mart bags, not because it embarrises me but because it's unorganized and unsanitarry. I really need it!
2) With my weight loss program, I need to take at least 10,000 steps per day and there's no way I can keep up with that without the Pedometer. I really need it!
3) I plan on using the treadmill at least once a day for 20-30 minutes and I really need a good pair of quality shoes ( by the way I wear a 10.5-11 inch shoe ) and at doing that and getting 10,000 steps per day you can see how I could really use the shoes, and everything you have to offer. I'm goal oriented, determined and persistent on getting into a great body and almost perfect health, as you can see I have a plan, I'm very serious and spending my hard earned money to do this. And this is not just for the 3 months but for a lifetime change. And even tho It's mostly for me, It's also for my 2 month old grand-daughter Brooklynn Jayda, I really need the 20-30 extra years God-willing. So you see how I could really use all the help I can get.I know I would be a good investment and I will and do have a great testamony to share with you all,I'm not begging just want you to be a vital part of my success. I believe in myself and my God. I'm doing my part... so please, please, please... help me. I only need a little HELP, Not a Hand-Out. I really could use your generous offer!
Thank You!

Not the Country Singer LOL
I don't need new workout gear, my husband is thrilled with my weight loss and now that I'm at my target weight, we were happy to splurge on new gear when it was on clearance last month.
I just want to cast my vote for B (I don't know the gender, so I'm going with "their" for the pronoun), I think it's wonderful that 1) B is training for their first 5K and 2) is thinking about how to get their mom interested in fitness. So many online programs right now are teamed up with fitness facilities, that maybe B can also try to get their mom to join them for a month free at a 24 hour fitness or Bally's.
Sorry, I appreciate everybody else's need, but I'm thrilled that someone sees how winning this prize could help someone other than themselves.

ReplyI need new workout gear because...
I got blood all over my other gear from Mixed Martial Arts training. I had to get surgery on my ear because it tore open. Now because of all the money I had to put out for surgery I cannot afford to train anymore. This equipment would help me with my dream of being a professional MMA fighter!
It is my dream to win something for once in my life.
ReplyI need new workout gear because I've been trying to lose "the last 20 pounds" for the last 20 months! Perhaps new gear will help push be over the edge!
ReplyI need new workout gear so my wife will stop stealing mine. We have to coordinate who gets the gym bag and that means I (being the husband) usually lose and have to use a plastic bag or something.
Of course, the shoes would be great for taking walks along (and in) the river with my kids and dog. I've lost this weight to set a good example for them, (not the dog, the kids silly) and I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor by being more active with them. Being able to spend quality time in a natural environment with my boys and not having to worry about my shoes getting ruined will allow me to focus on the number of steps I've taken by monitoring my nice new pedometer (can you say run on sentence?). Because you can't take a lot of steps when you're stuck behind a desk all day long.
I need new workout gear to save me from myself. If I don't win, I'll end up charging the stuff on my credit card. If I do that, my wife will have my head on a platter, and that's not the way I'd like to lose the weight!
ReplyI need new workout gear because I've decided 2008 is the year I realize my personal goals.
At 24, I've accomplished the goals I had set out for myself in college, professionally, and am now at a great job. Since my professional life is where I want it to be, I'm now focusing on myself and where I would like to be in my life as a whole - physically, emotionally, and interpersonally.
I committed to myself that this would be the last year that I am unhappy with my weight. A lot of my reservations and self-doubts stem from my weight, and I know I would be a more extroverted and accomplished person if this wasn't an issue.
After three years of being together, my boyfriend and I have started a membership at a gym. Given this awful what-seems-like-six-months winter in Chicago, the gym is great. But since the weather is getting better, it would be a great benefit to have a new set of workout gear to get active outdoors with my dog, Tofu, who could also use some exercise.
The new set of workout gear would be a great enhancement to achieve my personal goals this year.
ReplyJust for the record I said I Really need workout gear. What I meant to say was: ( I need New workout gear because... ) Just in case you need the exact phrase. I wouldn't want to miss out on the New Gear just because I used the phrase incorrectly.
Thanks

I need new workout gear because I need to keep motivating myself. In the past year I have lost 125 pounds all on my own (no surgery or weight loss medication) and am having a very hard time with my last 30 pounds. New workout gear would help give me that extra boost to get the rest of the weight off.
ReplyI need these items so I can focused on improving the inside and not have to worry about what the outside looks like. I have four children(including a set of twins) and I barely have time to workout let alone go shopping for workout gear. I have managed to be faithful to my workouts, but I think that this would be a nice reward for the long road ahead.
ReplyThanks,
Tara
I need new workout gear because...
ReplyI have over 100 lbs. to lose, I'm getting married in a little over a year, and I've been fat all my life. I want to start a new lifestyle with my fiancee. In fact, we are both looking to lose weight before the wedding, so this would benefit us greatly. I'm budgeting currently to pay for a wedding on my own, so this fitness equipment would be a nice luxury to have during my weight loss journey! Thanks!!
I need new workout gear for my beloved boyfriend. He is a poor post doc, about to finally be licensed. But then the loans have to be paid! He is an active man, but all of his stuff is old and ratty. He can't afford to buy new stuff. He has to struggle between buying gas and groceries, much less some new gear. The inability to buy these simple frivolous things bothers him so much. I feel horrible because I can only do so much for him. So hopefully you hear my plea that is not for me, but for a wonderful person that really could use a boost and believe that things can get better.
ReplyI need new workout gear because I am going to have my fourth baby soon and I want to be able to get into my workouts as soon as I can.
ReplyAfter my third child was born I started running because it gave me a chance to take time for myself without feeling guilty. Between running and watching what I ate I got down to the lightest weight I have ever been and I gained self-esteem and energy to care for my kids. I have an autistic son and I find it easier to work with him patiently when I am feeling good and healthy.
I want to jump into my routine again after the baby is born, but I won't have anything to wear for a few months (until I lose some weight).
If I am chosen for this prize the gear will be well used and you will be helping a motivated person keep up with the rigorous job of being a mom :)
I need new workout gear because my wife of 6 months is too embarrassed to be seen with me when I wear my current workout gear. This consists of a free beer t-shirt with the sleeves ripped off, shorts with stains from painting the living room, and a pair of converse which are 2 sizes two small. I think I look great, however she tends to disagree. Being forced to walk 10 feet behind her when we make the trek from home to the gym, not to mention having to wait outside for 5 minutes after she enters the gym is more than mildly disconcerting. Please help me save my marriage!!!
ReplyI need new workout clothes because I deserve the best.
ReplyI NEED a new workout gear
ReplyI need new workout gear because I have made a promise to myself to get into the best shape of my life. After carrying around 130 extra pounds on 5'2" frame, I decided to have gastric bypass surgery. I subsequently lost the weight, yet, inspite of what the media tells you, surgery is not a magic pill to well being and a healthy body. I find myself disatisfied with the body I am in as I have sagging skin and generally feel weak. Eating habits are still a daily struggle and I have come to realize that exercise is the key element to the overall health that I am lacking. I know i have it in me to make a stedfast commitment to new healthier Alison. New gear would provide me a new image to counter the old frumpy workout clothes I normally wear and provide a picture in the mirror that reflects someone who is serious about exercise and wearing appropriate, performance geared items. It also would be great because honestly, I am in no financial position to purchase new gear, (let alone any type of clothing suitable for working out!) because of difficult times. Lastly, there seems to be a confidence that accompanies your spirit when you don new clothes. Be it workout gear or an evening gown, new clothes just plain make you feel good. In closing, I ask that you pick me! Help play a part in making me be the person I know dwells within this sagging skin. I'll do all the work, all you have to do it provide me that extra kick by helping me feel good about the way i look while I stick to my goal. I dont want to win the olympics, I just want to not be ashamed of my body anymore. Help me be proud of all I've accomplished.
Thanks for reading,
Alison
ReplyI vote for Allan R Jackson because I believe he is the most deservant. He is really determined to doing this 12 week workout and this nice gear would really help.
ReplyI vote for Allan R Jackson because he has high ambitions and goals for losing weight. He served our country in the Vietnam war and I think he deserves to win!!
