What on Earth is a Su-Ha Diet?

Google translated it as thus:

"Su-Ha-breathing healthy diet is a diet. Want to diet, but do not know how" and "Abdominally healthy diet Law".

Su-Ha-breathing healthy diet is a diet.

ダイエットしたいけれど、どうしたらいいかわからない。 Want to diet, but do not know how.

なんて悩んでいる女性(もちろん男性も!)があとをたちません。 What distressed women (and men, of course!) After TACHIMASEN.

ダイエットというのは、ただ単に痩せればいいというのではなく、私たち人間の心と体のバランスをとることです。 It's diet, simply痩せれdo that, but our human mind and body balance.

この考え方を基に新開発された健康グッズがSu-Ha-diet(スーハーダイエット)です。 This concept has been developed based on the new health-diet products are Su-Ha (SUHADAIETTO).

I agree, this looks like something to help induce vomiting. Perhaps it has a better medical use than a dieting one?

I've seen things like this before. Supposedly the better you breathe the more you will loose weight. It is a breathing thing. I do agree that with better and concentrated breathing you are healthier, but it takes more than that to actually loose weight.

maybe you can only eat what fits into the cylinder?

Hahaha. Now the question is, how many times are you allowed to refill it? :)

I saw an infomercial about something like this...supposedly, if you breathe in very deeply your body gets more oxygen so you burn more calories. It sounded pretty ridiculous to me, but then again, it WAS an infomercial.

Why is that just about everyone on this site doesn't know that you LOSE weight not LOOSE it? It's driving me crazy....

Been there done that! Don't go there :-)

Yeah, that's an annoying mistake. About as bad as hearing people use the word "good" as an adverb.

Though if you don't LOSE weight you might have to LOOSEN your belt...

My fellow grammar snob,
It's a lost cause. Furthermore, it's taken as rude to point it out. I personally get annoyed at people who type in all caps, people who don't know how to use the apostrophe, people who misuse your and you're, there, their and they're, its and it's, people who do not follow capitalisation rules, "irregardless," "all of the sudden," "should of" etc. It drives me absolutely batty.
Proper grammar and spelling do not come easily to everyone, and it is best when communicating on the web to ignore someone's mistakes unless they're unreadable.
Although, squirming and shouting at your screen are also acceptable reactions. ;)

My personal favorite is "excercise."

Really. ;-)

Though it doesn't solve everything, it is a helpful, free tool. :-)

It's nice to have a good suggestion instead of just rantings.

I am really interested in all the comments people make; however, the misspellings and incorrect punctuation make it very difficult to understand what the reader is trying to convey. Sometimes it is so bad that I just give up and move on to the next comment. I think this is the frustration of many of us. Just remember we are on this site for the same reasons, we are all interested in health, fitness and nutrition. So let's all try to play nice.

I didn't mean to cause offense.... it was just that I had seen the misspelling several times and I just... snapped. Dearie me. BTW Eve, I have heard that theory mentioned - that efficient breathing helps with efficient metabolism - but I don't think I have actually seen a study which demonstrated it.

It's partially based on onomatopoeia. In Japanese, "suu" and "haa" are the sounds of sucking in and letting out deep breaths.

Thank you! It is obviously some sort of breathing apparatus. Not sure how hyper-ventilating leads to fat loss 'tho.

WOW, you all need to lighten up. I personally find the typos humorous (stay calm everyone, I think I may have misspelled humorous)

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
I have read that we are shallow breathers, meaning we don't fill our lungs when we take a breath.
BTW, my Pastor always says, "every since", when he does this I wake up immediately and take notice.
