Have You Tried Writing Your Goals?

Lisa Gates, of Design Your Writing Life, has a unique and powerful way of helping her clients identify their commitments, and move forward in the direction of their goals.
First things first, she helps her clients identify their core values. Next, clients establish commitments, which can be met and maintained while honoring the core values.
The next step is to establish goals by evaluating their commitments. Step by step, Lisa helps her clients “design their writing life.”
There's More
Lisa knows it doesn't stop there.
“If I have a client who wants to lose weight, we have to work on that, too. Even though it has nothing to do with writing, it is still something we must face for that client. So, we integrate those commitments and goals into their life, too.”
Lisa’s program is designed for writers. But, she knows that every writer has a life that’s happening alongside those commitments and goals. By identifying what matters the most to her clients, Lisa helps them move forward, and helps them accomplish what they need to do.
Try It
By identifying your commitments and goals, you can identify what matters to you. Where are you spending your time? How do you want to spend your time? And, what matters the most to you?
Identify your commitments and establish goals to help you live the life of your dreams.
Yes, writing down what you want whether in regards to weight loss, income, or anything else is essential. I also believe that putting pen to paper works much better than using a keyboard...there's something about writing on paper that gets your subconscious mind involved and helps you to achieve your goals. Same goes for writing affirmations...
ReplyI've heard this writing-things-down approach can be helpful. And it sounds much cheaper than therapy!
