Dog Powered Scooter

A recent post showed someone "walking" the dog while driving their car. Here's another lazy better idea - the Dog Powered Scooter.

From the site:

A hobby/sport you both can enjoy so that more time can be spent together. Identity and pride for your dog.

I actually think this is quite a neat invention. As the former owner of two large and very energetic dogs - I know that some dogs love the idea of pushing against something.

Also - compared to the idea of using the gas-guzzler to walk your dog -- this makes much more sense.

... and there was me thinking walking the dog was light exercise. I can't believe someone has invented this.

I'd be in a full body cast in 2 minutes. I live in a hilly area and my dog is more than energetic, he is nuts. He has tripped me and made me fall on my ass on more than one occasion cause he sees a bird, for example, and tries to catch it by sprinting downhill.

My dog would be on the scooter, I would be the one pushing. So who has who trained???

Looks like a great way to give your dog vigorous exercise when the owner doesn't want the same. Looks a little silly though.

That looks like fun! I usually take my dog on roller blades, but this would keep your dog safer maybe.

this is freakin awesome if my dog was a big energetic dog and not a metro-sexual 16.4 lb scottish terrier i'd deffinantly get one.

Seriously you think this is being lazy? You also push with your legs and it's a great for your core keeping balance. Larger to medium sixe dogs can get up to 20-30 MPH and walking a dog doesn't give the the cardio it gives us, they are just beginning to hit thier stride when a human is at as fast as a human can run.
Take this off road and see how sore you are the next morning. Great for dog friendly neighborhoods, take it to the store and take your dog in to grab some groceries and the scoot home! I love it!

I think this is a wonderful idea. I am physically challenged and can only walk so far. My dogs never get tired. I am looking at investing in this equip so I can finally have some tired puppies!
