Anna Nicole Smith and TrimSpa: Class Action Suit
Anna Nicole Smith and TrimSpa Inc face a class-action lawsuit. The suit alleges false or misleading claims were made about the TrimSpa diet pill.
TrimSpa has already been hit by the Federal Trade Commission to the tune of $1.5 million. That because of these sort of marketing claims:
“Your high speed dream body diet pill” and “It makes losing 30, 50, even 70 pounds (or however many pounds you need to lose) painless.
Nicole Smith endorsed the TrimSpa X32 product. However in a candid interview some years ago -- this seems to be how she really lost the weight:
"You eat, like, small portions and you do it for, like, two weeks, and also they have a colon cleanser and you're just, like, on the pot all the time... You lose that weight quickly."
UPDATE 8th Feb 2007: Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in a hotel room and died on the way to hospital.

I guess celebrity endorsements aren't always profitable.
The colon cleanser - is that a trimspa product or something else?
PS congrats on the 20k comments
ReplyWhy doesn't this surprise me?
If you ever watch TV overseas, for example like Japan, you'll see mainstream actors pitching products all the time. Some of the products are very shady.
Guess the reason they don't do it over on American TV is because they don't want to poop in their own back yard.

ReplyPS. ANNA NICHOLE LOOKS WAY TOOOOOOOO TAN IN THE PIX ABOVE. UGGY!
Go after the company, but leave the hired spokesperson alone. Give Anna Nicole a break! She's been through enough already!
ReplyR.I.P. Ms Smith. Now they can't affect her anymore. Sad.
ReplyHow tragic!I am so upset. At least she will no longer have to endure the cruelity of Hollywood and the rest of this world. I just hope that they find out who is responsible for her and her son's death. Sounds very strange, especially in light of the paternity and multi million dollar lawsuits. sounds like a lot of people are suspects of murder to me. I just hope it isn't ruled an OD. TOO COINCEDENTAL
Replyi think that wat happened is horrible but im feeling it the most for that poor baby!
