Hooray some good news about food!
ReplyYou know what's ironic? Some people will tell you not to eat Avodacos (number 2 on the list) because they are high in fat...
Replywow, fruit you peel has less pesticide residue that fruit you don't, who'd a thought.
ReplyOh yeah, onions are pretty clean. Nothing likes to eat them or grow on them or anything. Can't imagine why ;) Same with the broccoli...lots of sulfur compounds in there that bugs don't like.
ReplyNothing except for cockroaches, Spectra. Onions are their favorite snack, even more than sugar. You have to put onions in the fridge or you'll get cockroaches in your kitchen, if you live in a warm location; also, when you want to trick roaches into eating poison, you mix grated onions with bread with the poison, and they gobble it up.
ReplyJan---we don't get roaches where I live. I guess since onions are underground, spraying is pretty useless.
ReplyYeah not where I live either, but when I lived in a hot place, I'd have to hide the onions from them. Now I have to hide the tomatoes from the cats. They love tomatoes.
ReplyI am kind of surprised cabbage isn't more tainted. I think of all the bugs that like to eat that in the garden.
