Fiber One Oats and Chocolate Bar Review
It seems like there's been quite a surge lately in the amount of “healthy” snacks like granola bars, protein bars, even cookies. A lot of these products have added fiber, which has been proven to be heart-healthy and reduce cholesterol.
The Fiber One brand makes some great cereals with plenty of fiber that are easy to eat. I have the plain Fiber One cereal every morning with my protein powder, which only has 60 calories and almost 15 grams of fiber.
So, I expected good things from their chewy oat bars.
The Taste
When I opened the package and took a bite, I noticed how good it tasted right away – sweet, chocolatey, and not too chewy. The oats are held together with something that tastes vaguely like honey, and there is a drizzle of milk chocolate over the top of the bar. It reminded me of other granola bars I'd had as a kid.
I couldn't really taste the fiber – it was more like eating a candy bar.
I ended up eating all 5 of these bars in one sitting, they were so addictive - which is why there's not a picture of them (the box got thrown out). Something about the taste made me crave them.
The Nutrition
The nutritional information was pretty much what I expected – 140 calories, 9 grams of fiber, but it also has 10 grams of sugar. I guess I should have been expecting that, given how sweet it was. But then I read the ingredient list – these bars contain high fructose corn syrup, as well as hydrogenated coconut oil!
What's healthy about that?
I see this bar as nothing but a glorified candy bar, and given the ingredients, I probably wouldn't eat them again. If you're more interested in good taste, these bars may be for you.
NOTE: This is NOT a paid product endorsement. In fact it's not an endorsement at all :-)
GAS AND BLOATING WHOA BABY! I've been eating these for about one week (one each day at 10am) and could not figure out why I have CONSTANT gas all day long at work. I work with customers and a co-worker so it's very embarressing. These are not worth it - they are so good tasting. Now, these do this to me (the chocolate ones), but funny thing is the peanut butter ones do not (at least not yet). I swear, I'm farting EVERY 2 minutes all day long! Uggggh.
ReplyOK, I having been having these bars for 2 weeks now (everyday at around 10 am). By 2 in the afternoon, my stomach is rumbling and my butt is ready to explode. In fact, the other day at work, I accidently let one go in front of 2 coworkers! And let me tell you, farting in public is not my thing! It wasn't until I did a google search for "chicory root extract" that I came across this blog site and found all the posts about these bars. Yeah, they taste good but who cares when they make your intestines to the cha cha and your butt do the rhumba! Avoid these at all costs!
Replythank goOdness im not the only one! i Thought I was having a gallbladder attack or something, the pain was so bad!!!
ReplyI couldn't figure out what was causing extreme abdominal pain. My Dad told me it was something I was eating and keep a food dairy. Sure enough it was the Fiber one bars. I was in so much pain I thought I was going to admit myself to the E.R. I didn't realize it was the Chicory root until I ate the Fiber one cereal with Raisins. I experienced the same abdominal pain. When I looked at the ingredients and compared it to the bars. Chicory root was the 1st one. I knew right away it was definitely Chicory root. I thought I had stomach cancer. Throw the bars and any cereal with chicory root in it away. The original Fiber One cereal does not have it in it.
ReplyVivian
Did you notice ETHYNOL was an ingredient? Why wouldn't it make anyone's butt explode?
I'll never touch one again!

THANK YOU! Here I sat thinking what the heck is causing so much discompfort! bloating, gas, pains and just miserable at work ALL day and I was going insane thinking WHY? I had not had the bar for a couple mornings and this morning I did and WA LA! pains back and I went online and see that I am not alone. They are good but, no thanks.
ReplyFiber makes you fart, but, you need fiber to be healthy. Is not farting more important than being healthy?
ReplyI was a fan of these bars too until I figured out they were causing EXTREME intestinal distress (nice way of putting it). These things made me gassy, bloated and miserable for at least two days after eating just one. I eat a high fiber diet and was puzzled by this. I checked the ingredients and found Ethanol! What's with the Ethanol? No wonder I was feeling gassed up. I was! with ETHANOL! Shellac is listed twice in the ingredient list. One as Confectioners Shellac and later as just Shellac.
ReplyIt is not Ethanol that is affecting you this way, that is only alcohol. Nor is it shellac, if you eat non-organic "pretty" fruits and vegetables from the grocers - they are covered in it (makes them shiny). The most likely culprit for the intestinal distress with these DELICIOUS bars is the Chicory Root Extract. I love these bars and every once in a while I stupidly give them another try hoping I'll have a different reaction, but its always the same extreme abdominal cramping and gas. I guess these bars weren't meant for everyone
ReplyActually, 0 grams of trans fat. There are certainly a lot worse things I could eat for a snack. I don't care what the ingredients are, nothing "makes" you eat a whole box of anything. Give me a break.
---Actually chicory root also an appetite stimulant and is used medically for that reason as well, so yes, some things do make you want to eat more!
ReplyBeing female I have had irregular bowel movements and since I have became pregnant, I have been more aware of my daily diet. I LOVE THE BARS. They taste excellent and since I make sure of my fluid intake they have helped me a lot. They don't seem to last me very long for the price that I have been paying for them. I have one in the mornings for breakfast. I'm 34 weeks pregnant now and I love knowing that I'm getting breakfast and fiber that I need in a good taste.
ReplyDid you know that the main ingredient in these granola bars is chicory root extract? Research has shown that this herb is not safe to consume during pregnancy...
ReplyThe fiber one bars are awesome tasting. But I have Lupus, an auto immune disease & my Lupus flaired up so bad while I ate the bars. Maybe it was a fluke. I went on line to research chicory root. I found several on line sites that said do not use chicory root while pregnant. It may lead to miscarriage. I did not find any warnings for people with auto immune disorders such as mine. Just because things have all natural things such as herbs doesn't mean they are safe for everyone.
Replyi love these bars, but was shocked by how much gas was produced. i already eat a high fiber diet, so i was quite surprised by how differently my body reacted to these tasty treats. so, it go me thinking.....really thinking. actually, i've spent most of today online researching WHAT IS THE DEAL??
here's what i found:
1. why is chicory root extract the first ingredient? turns out that's where the fiber is coming from AND it's of the soluble variety. now, i eat at least 30 grams of fiber a day, but less than ten of it is soluble. so, if i'm eating a fiber one bar, where about 8 grams of it are soluble, i'm gonna get a lot more gas than if i ate 8 grams of soluble fiber spread out during the course of a whole day.
2. why's soluble more gassy than insoluble? certain foods, like the insides of potatoes, beans, apples, and....ground chicory root(yes, they are carbs)cannot be broken down in the small intestine, thus not being absorbed and move along to the colon where the bacteria eat it(it's the bacteria that are producing the gas from the feast). the chicory root has a specific soluble fiber called fructooligosaccharide(FOS) which simply put means short chain fructose molecules. there are "good" and "bad" bacteria and it turns out that only the "good" ones can eat FOS foods. we need the good bacteria, so by eating FOS soluble fiber(fiber one bars yeah!!!!!), we are stimulating the growth and/or activity of the good bacteria(prebiotic). YES, IT MAKES MORE GAS(because we are creating more bacteria to chomp away at our food), but think of it like our body telling us we are eating EXACTLY what we should be to promote the growth of good bacteria in our colon, which promotes our general health as well.
3. prebiotic, probiotic...pre pro what's the diff?? prebiotics are carbs(soluble fibers) that are not absorbed in the small intestine that becomes food for good bacteria in the colon...every time we toot our horn it's the bacteria saying,"hey, we're here, we're queer, and healthy for you. get used to it." probiotics are actual bacteria that don't get killed off on their way to their buddies in the colon. so, let's assume we have low levels of good bacteria in our colon. we have two ways to solve this problem. we can eat foods that make the good bacteria make lots of babies(prebiotics). or, we can eat bacteria(yogurt, really expensive supplements you can by at your health food store) and hope they make it through their tough journey to the end of the line(probiotics). personally, eating prebiotics has a lot more going for it, like having other nutrients our body needs,or the fact that it forms a gel like substance that keeps our intestines in tip top shape.
yeah yeah, i know i said a lot here.
short answer: these fiber one bars are really good for you because they have the best form of soluble fiber(FOS). on average, we don't eat enough soluble fiber and we especially don't get enough of FOS. yes, it produces a lot of gas, mainly a problem for the first few times. but, you're creating a better bacterial environment in your colon.
really short answer: fiber one bars taste great, are an excellent source of soluble fiber, and annoying as it may be, all that gas is actually good for you too!
ReplyWow! That is a really informative comment! Thank you for that.
I love the Fiber One Oats and Chocolate bars and decided to finally look up the Chicory Root Extract that's listed as the first ingredient. That's how I stumbled on this page.
After seeing all of the complaining posts about the bars, I was glad to see someone else who loves them as much as I do, and I'm especially glad to know I'm really doing something good for my colon by eating them. :o)
ReplyI love these bars!! I eat them sometimes in the morning when I haven't found time for breakfast, or at night when my sweet tooth is out of control and I'm craving ice cream or something. (On a side note, yeah, they are THAT sweet!) But I echo the gas concerns.
ReplyI love these bars. They taste great. After reading these posts I am concerned about whether or not they are as healthy as I originally thought but I will continue to buy them. I need to keep my 7 year old on a high fiber diet and it's much easier to get her to eat one of these bars than many of the alternatives. I would not recommend eating 5 in one sitting though! :)

ReplyYou recommended 8 to 12 glasses a water day. Is this 8oz glasses? I have tried to increase my water.. but I admit my water intake is not very good. I try to consume a min. of 25g of fiber...and I am still constantly constipated. Anyway I thought I would ask about the water thing.
karen
oh yea, I forgot to mention...I love these bars and I am eating at least one day and sometimes 2
so I try to drink a bottle of water with them
ReplyTo alleviate the gas issue, eat 1/2 a bar at a time. Say, 1/2 bar in the morning for a snack and the other 1/2 bar in the afternoon for snack. This eliminates the gas for me.
Replytry the crunchy kashi bars available at costco.
ReplyI love my fiber one bars -- I call them my "fart bars" for the same reasons everyone else has mentioned. At only 2 Weight Watchers points a pop - they are worth every smelly moment for me and are a far healthier choice than the candy bars I used to eat.
ReplyOh goodness - I just ate my first Fiber One bar (I had the pb, it was delish), and I came online to try to find the breakdown of soluble vs. insoluble fiber. Now I'm freaking out because I share an office and I'm expecting the gas to be terrible.
ReplyI LOVE these bars!!! But they're very hard to find around here, especially the chocolate. I first tried them when Walmart had a display of them, but they haven't had them since. They're also very expensive - is it that way everywhere? TIP--About 8 seconds in the microwave and they are TO DIE FOR!! They remind me of a fresh-out-of-the-oven monster cookie! I am also a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and am always looking for a low-points snack. This is the best "good for you" snack I've ever had.
Replythere's another kind of very similar bar that's made by Walmart--either that or it's a very generic plain-looking package that I bought at Walmart--with a similar taste and similar ingredients. Its number one ingredient is also chicory root extract.
ReplyThese bars are tasty, but i never had so much awful flatulence in my whole life as I did after eating one a day. Lots of very foul smelling and embarrassing gas. They had to go..........
ReplyFiber will cause gas and bloating if you are not used to it. After eating the required regiment of fiber each day which would include these bars, your body would adjust. I can't believe people are arguing over the ingredients and the fats. If they concern you so much, get out and exercise! And for those who can't stop at just one, I imagine have that problem with a lot things they eat. You need to leanr to control your portions no matter what it is that you are consuming.
ReplyI LOVE THEM, CHOCOLATE IS GREAT!
ReplyI liked the idea of Fibner One bars until I read the ingredients. I am sticking with "Gnu Bars" [www.GnuFoods.com/FiberBar] They have 12 gr of Fiber; 8 gr Soluble Fiber, Under 130 Cals and no junky fillers. I have never had a problem with gas. I buy them on-line - have not seen them locally! They taste great!!
ReplySo sad, :( I really liked the Fiber One bars but when I looked at the ingredients especially the Ethanol & Shellac. If Shellac is made from insects I don't want to buy them anymore.
ReplyI just ate one... try to eat one a day..... I am vegetarian and eat lots of rubbage and fiberous things. Nothing has EVER given me gas like these do and my body can't seem to get used to it. I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and I think it's something in these other than the fiber. Not sure I'll buy any more... :( (may cause a divorce)
ReplyI eat ( 1 ) bar at night for a bed time snack. I get the needed fiber, and never smell the gas!!!
ReplyI, too, had terrible gas all evening after I ate one of these bars--there was no smell though, just continual gas. My son's girlfriend had the same problem. I thought they were delicious, but now I won't go near one. (And, I had purchased a hugh box of them from SAMs Club.) I am tossing the rest of them in the garbage--or I could take them to work for others to consume to see what happens...:)

ReplyI have thoroughly enjoyed reading these reviews. I have never even tried these bars, but now plan to the next time I am scheduled to be trapped in the car with my friends while on a long road-trip! Thank you all!
ReplyI love the taste of these bars but I too have had the worst gas I have every had in my entire life. I work and I end up having to run to the bathroom every two minutes to avoid letting one go. We have stalls in our bathrooms here too so there is no escape. Not only do they give me gas, but they cause me to have horrible diahrrea as well. It is the most embarrassing and horrible experience ever. I will never eat these bars again. Its just not worth the discomfort and embarrassment.
ReplyI found these about a month ago and love them.
if you eat a whole box you shouldn't bother going on a diet blog! losing weight requires self control
you need fiber, if you are tracking your nutrition you will find like i did that you are not getting enough
these taste great, Have 0 Trans fat and only 40 cal from fat (out of 150 that is less than 30%)
the people who are overcritical of these must be on a raw food vegan diet
i don't know how you can get better than this otherwise
tastes good, lots of fiber, filling, low fat
i have been eating one a day for about a month and have never had the mentioned side effects.
i would highly recommend these to anyone serious about losing weight and being healthy. i lost 20 lbs since cutting back to 1500 cal (less than 30% fat) and increasing my water and swiming 4 times a week.
Reply"Shellac is edible and it is used as a glazing agent on pills and candies. Because of its alkaline properties, shellac-coated pills may be used for a timed enteric or colonic release[1]. It is also used to replace the natural wax of the apple, which is removed during the cleaning process[2]. When used for this purpose, it has the food additive E number E904. This coating may not be considered as vegetarian as it may, and probably does, contain crushed insects. It is definitely not vegan. In the tablet manufacture trade, it is sometimes referred to as "beetlejuice" for this reason. Shellac is known to cause allergies on contact, resulting in skin irritations.[3]"
This is in response to someone posting about ethonal and shellac as products being used in the fiber one bars....i got it from Wikpedia
ReplyI ate 5 in one setting as well. They're so highly addictive. I love chocolate and I'm trying to eat right. And the results are wonderful. It definitely keeps you very regular daily.
I'm just starting to diet, so can someone please tell me whether or not these bars are so for you?
ReplyThank you for your post. This really helped me out. Now only if I could eat these bars in moderation. I'll be okay.
Replyi saw 30 pack at costco for $10 and thought why not? i think they taste great. they might not be the healthiest out there and far from organic or all-natural but i will continue eating these. the organic bars i have tried taste pretty decent but i like these candy bar like tastes
Replyforgot to add though is if you're looking for an organic bar, try larabar. they only contain about 5 ingredients
ReplyI am so glad that I am not alone! These bars are absolutely delicious but they are so not worth the horrible gas that they cause. I have never eaten more than one a day but I still get awful gas. I have continued to buy them hoping that I might build up some sort of tolerance (since they are so yummy) but it hasn't happened. If anything, it has gotten worse as I have eaten more. I eat a high fiber diet but have not had this problem with any other food so I really believe that the other ingredients are the true culprits. As I write, I feel so bloated and gross. My husband is coming home from work soon and I am running around lighting scented candles so as not to asphyxiate him! I am done with these bars. I will never buy them again and I am throwing away the rest of the box. Nothing is worth this horrible gas.
ReplyI share the same exact symptoms and couldn't figure out why I was having so much gas! Now I know. I will never buy these again, even though they taste great-it's not worth the embarassment and discomfort of what it causes!
ReplyI am relieved that others are having the same symptoms. This is my second day eating a fiber 1 bar for breakfast and the second day that I feel extremely uncomfortable. Now I know exactly what the problem is, I am throwing the entire box away. This morning my pants fit fine, they were actually a little loose and now I can barely button them. I am considering leaving work early so i can fart all the way home! Ahhh!
ReplyOMG, I am glad I found this info! I have been farting up a storm and now I know for sure it's these Fiber one bars - which by the way I loooove!! They need to fix these, they're too good.
ReplyWow, I was doing a search on Chicory Root Extract, the first ingredient in Fiber One bars....because I have been self diagnosing IBS for 3 months now.
ReplyNow, I see now that I am not the only one to suffer horrendous diahrrea. I tried a tiny experiment last night:
I had not eaten one in a few days and decided to go for it. I knew that if the 'runs' came back, that these bars must be at the root of my problem.
Well, not only did my intestines wake me up 2 times last night, right after I had my lunch today ( AT WORK) ..I had a hard time feeling like I was digesting....after about an hour, my stomach fell right into my ......... a$$, basically, and then into my pants!
I will NOT be eating fiber one bars again, for recreation, but to help push things along, if I get 'backed- up' !!!
Good Luck everyone!
The gas is unbelievable with these bars! Shellac, too?
ReplyI just bought my first box of Fiber One Oats and Chocolate Bars, and had the same experience as many of you have had -- shellac and ethanol?! Mildly disconcerting...I thought I was the only one in the world that would have noticed/cared about that!
One nutrition bar I've found that has a good balance of healthy ingredients/good taste is the Clif Protein Builder bar. The are low GI (don't mess much with your blood sugar levels), I think they're certified organic, high protein, and contain no hydrogenated oils. The peanut butter and chocolate flavors taste especially great. They're a little higher in fat and calorie content (~8 g. fat, 270 cal.), but if you're active and don't treat them like a dessert (which is hard to do - they taste so good!), that's okay.
Reply...and now that you mention it, I was wondering where my increased intestinal activity lately came from!
ReplyI am SO glad I found this thread. The Fiber One bars are AWFUl!!! These would be great if you were about to enter a farting contest. You could win big prizes with these fart bars. I had the WORST abdominal pain and farts so powerful (pressure) that I could leap tall building in a single bound.
ReplyThank goodness I found this site. I had two bars today and just figured out the farting pattern while I was trying to run to the bathroom to let one out and of course played a symphony all the way there in front of my fiance. Not only does this site make me feel better but it's a great source of laughter. I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Here's a mental picture for my farting friends on this site . . .tomorrow I will be seeing patients in clinic . . .I wonder how they are going to feel about their doctor when there is only two people in the room and someone is stinking it up.
ReplyI have to say, arguments on whether or not there are trans fats or not aside, that these are very tasty bars. I buy them and use them as an alternative to a candy bar when I get that type of craving. I wouldn't eat them daily as a fiber source or as a breakfast bar, but considering the low fat and low calorie level, this is a superb alternative to a a big fat candy bar. With the fiber it will fill you up much better and leave you feeling more satisfied than say, oh, a snickers. I guess you could try a different brand of health bar as an alternative, but I have personally not found one that is still low calorie, high fiber while still tasting as good as the fiber one bars. So I support the fiber one oats and chocolate - as a relatively healthier treat.
ReplyOh and I haven't had any of the gas issues and I have gone through at least three boxes worth of them over time. But again, I eat them as a occasional candy bar substitute, not as a daily in between snack nor even on a weekly basis...
"Chicory Root, a common caffeine-free substitute for coffee, has also been used medicinally in the treatment of gout, dyspepsia and jaundice. In contrast to coffee,Chicory Root is a natural sedative and is also used as a diuretic and mild laxative."
"Confectionery Shellac is approved by the FDA as a food safe coating. Solvents must be pure ethanol (not denatured). One common use is in protective candy coatings or glazes on candies like Reese's Pieces, because of its unique ability to provide a high gloss in relatively thin coatings, even M&M's. This Non-toxic glaze is also used for fruit, coffee beans, and nuts."
ReplyHowever, it is interesting to note that Shellac is a byproduct of the Lac Beetle...so, that could gross you out into not eating anything with a shellac on it anymore, but that means no M&M's, Junior Mints, Jelly Beans, etc. But, if you know how gelatin is produced, and still eat that, then shellac shouldn't bother you either.
Amber,
You are educated well enough to be a danger to yourself and others. You should be ashamed of yourself for promoting this poisenous bar on behalf of General Mills.
From the ingredients of the Chocolate Chip Fiber One bar:
These two ingredients are the primary reason this toxic waste bar is causing gastrointestinal disturbances.
Ethanol:
Ethanol within the human body is converted into acetaldehyde by alcohol dehydrogenase and then into acetic acid by acetaldehyde dehydrogenase. The product of the first step of this breakdown, acetaldehyde, is more toxic than ethanol. Acetaldehyde has been shown to increase the risk of developing cirrhosis of the liver, multiple forms of cancer, and alcoholism.
Shellac:
Shellac is a brittle or flaky secretion of the insect Kerria lacca, found in the forests of Assam and Thailand. Shellac is considered edible and it is sometimes used as a glazing agent on pills and candies. This coating may not be considered as vegetarian as it may, and probably does, contain crushed insects. In the tablet manufacture trade, it is sometimes referred to as "beetlejuice" for this reason. Shellac is known to cause allergies on contact, resulting in skin irritations.
This ingrediant is why you people report eating 5 bars in one sitting.
Chicory Root Extract:
Long-term use of chicory (Root chicory - Cichorium intybus var. sativum) has been shown to damage human retinal tissue, with dimming of vision over time and other long term effects. Although small amounts of root chicory consumed medicinally or as a seasoning can be healthy and/or harmless, root chicory contains volatile oils that can be metabolized in the liver and digestive tract into toxic by-products that damage retinal nerve cells and cause dimming of vision if regularly consumed in large quantities as a coffee substitute. Root chicory contains volatile oils similar to those found in plants in the related genus Tanacetum which includes Tansy, and is likewise effective at eliminating intestinal worms. All parts of the plant contain these volatile oils, with the majority of the toxic components concentrated in the plants root.
So if you don't mind having severe gastrointestinal problems, cirrosis of the liver and eventually going blind, than keep eating this garbage.
General Mills and their employees should be ashamed of themselves for using poison in their food products. And the FDA should be shut down for years of poor oversight.
ReplyGood for you, Isiah. It's so easy to identify the bloggers who have been hired by General Mills to pretend to be "Amber," the innocent, Fiber One loving consumer.
Folks, take it from a thin, healthy person. Ethanol, Shellac, chicory root extract, hydrogenated oils, and corn syrup ARE NOT GOOD FOR YOU. The gas is the least of your problems with this poison.
I ate one bar today because I was getting a headache (from not eating) at my son's track meet, and that was the only thing the school was selling. I ALWAYS look at the ingredients, and I did not do that today. I am such a healthy eater that I knew within an hour that what I had eaten contained toxic ingredients. I took a special trip to the store tonight just to read the ingredients (after the diahrrea) and wanted to throw up when I did.
Shame on you, General Mills, AND your paid bloggers (that includes you, DRE). To the rest of you, I urge you to stop eating these bars every day and try some good, old-fashioned oats mixed with milk. And, yes. You can add some sugar to that. It won't harm you the way these bars are.
ReplyI love these bars and I AM NOT paid by anybody! They do, however, cause "air biscuits" LOL
ReplyIsaiah, you in turn are UNeducated enough to be a danger to yourself and others.
Ethanol. Also known as "grain alcohol". As in booze. In the case of the Fiber One bar, it would have been used as a solvent for applying the confectioners' shellac to the chocolate chips. As such, it would be a miniscule amount and it would have evaporated long before the chocolate chips even found their way to the BUILDING where these fibers bars were packaged. But even if it were still there, it wouldn't hurt you any more than cookies baked with vanilla extract (which also contains alcohol). So if you think you're going to get cirrosis from eating these bars, let me just politely say that you are mistaken.
Chicory Root in fact IS good for you, though like anything else it can be harmful if you do something stupid with it. Chicory root EXTRACT is an excellent source of soluble fiber, and it's used in many very healthy food products, including some organic yogurt.
Shellac might sound unpleasant, but really no more so than honey.
To call these ingredients "poison" is irresponsibly misleading. They're "poisonous" in the same sense that table salt or vitamin E are poisonous: Sure, you could consume a toxic amount if you had a lot of people helping you to get enough of it into your body. Those are not the quantities we're discussing with regard to the fiber bars, even if you were to eat them by the box full (which would be a bad idea, for other obvious reasons).
ReplyI'm glad I found this blog! I will not be eating this cereal bar anymore. Horrible abdominal cramping and gas for hours. I was in a Bikram yoga class and almost had to leave because I was in so much pain ( and so afraid I was going to stun the class with the awful noise). Anyway, I think that Americans always are trying to find that magic thing, that we can eat and be full and doesn't have a lot of calories. But really these processed bars are not it! I am learning so much about the food industry, I look forward to reading and getting more information through these forums and other means.
ReplyI'm glad too I found this. Now I know it's not just me who has oh the awful GAS! That's not a topic people want to talk about often. These bars gave me more gas than when I drank prune juice. And that ends after you go to the bathroom, but these bars last forever and a day!
Reply
