The Shockolate Vault

It's that time of year when you go looking for gadgets and gifts. The Shockolate Vault is a transparent jar that gives you an electric shock if you open it before time.

You choose how long you think you can go without a bit of chocolate or a cigarette etc. Set the timer and place your stash inside. If you change your mind there will be shocking consequences. Keep temptation at bay and lock your favorite goodies away.

Whatever works I guess. It would be a handy jar for putting a mobile phone into -- just for those people in your life who cannot stop sending text messages.

You can get the Shockolate vault from Firebox.com.

Hmm...this looks more like a lab rat experiment than something for people. Besides, if you put a chocolate bar in there and you want one before the time's up, what's going to stop you from going to the convenience store and buying one? This might be a good thing to get my dog though...maybe I can put garbage in it so I can train her not to get in the trash.

Is this really for humans who have sense? This is taking weight loss tooooooooo far.

I would probably do evil things with this, like putting my fiancee's keys or wallet in it.

Really, Jim, where do you find these? This one is great. My 19-year old loves this sort of thing. It's for fun, people!

I played with the games at Spencers that had a "shock" feature and the teenagers were loving it saying, "This is cool," and "we should get this," so never underestimate the power of a good shock toy. ;-)

Does it come with rubber gloves by any chance? Heh, heh.

Hilarious!!! It goes one step further than the cookie jars that 'oink' when you open them, for people who need a bit more motivation than just being insulted.

This is hilarious! it would drive me creasy though and like Ryan, I would put my husband's stuff like his magazine that he reads all week-end long....

Bah. But A piece of chocolate a day dies keep heart disease at bay. Too much, however, is not good.

That's hilarious - unfortunately I can see a huge market for it among bulimics and anorexics
