do you still have that belt maching for sale? Please email me at jpope1@comcast.net- thanks
I have been using my Vibration exercise machine for 6 months now and I loveit! It is really worth researching and trying out. You can find lots of information here:
It seems that the point of this machine is missed or has been lost. If you shake your innards you will loosen your bowel. Over digestion of food increases calorie absorption. Eating an apple a day and using this vibrating belt, or riding a horse, will help clean you out and keep you healthy. As they say" death starts in the colon" and " the best thing for the inside of a man is the outside of a horse"
My 82 year old dad still has ours in his garage! I remember belting in as a kid and hanging on for dear life... Far better than the 25cent pony rides in front of the grocery!
Yes I have a picture will gladly email you, post your email I will check back soon. I was thinking in the area of $50.00 it will be on E-bay next week if I don't have it sold by then.Reply

I would like to make an offer...I remember using one that I had gotten in the 80's it was sold out of my storage unit @ Camp Pendleton....I really miss my "shaker"...what would you sell it for....I bought mines for $10.00.Reply
Jimmy
I would like to sell it for $50 CDN or $40 US. If you want a pic email me at jdadamson3@sympatico.ca and I will send one out to you. Otherwise after April 15th you can look for it on Ebay. Have a good one. Look forward to hearing for you.
Without giving my age away I attended Elaine Powers fitness. I am looking for one of the machines that worked wonders on my stomach and legs. The machine was round with lots of wood rolls that not only turned but the individual rollers turned also. Where can I find that machine? Has anybody seen it or know where I can find one?
Vicki said: I recently purchased a Elaine Powers leotard at a flea market. It is navy blue and has white trim around the collar. It has Elaine Powers and the logo in white letters around the neck area. Does anyone know if this is a collectors item. Also who wore them the staff or clients?[...]
The members wore the tights. I still have all my elaine powers tights, leggings, etc. from the 70's. Also, I loved the vibrating belts and the rollers. The rollers were made to loosen up the muscles and help with blood flow. The exercise classes were great on the floor because you got a great workout.
I worked as an instructor for a short while in the 70's and they wore white shirts & black pants & eventually went to wearing tights in the 80's. I miss the old Elaine Power. We even made up a dance and called it the Roach to dance by. Our club was in Raleigh, North Carolina
I wish Elaine Powers Salons were still available.
I had such wonderful success from 1975-79.
40 lb. later, I wish, I wish.
Why doesn't their founder start it up again???
It would surely be a winner. I re-signed to Curves
today after a 2 yr. absence. Not the same as
Elaine Powers.
I have one. As a scientist I figure that the "massage" could certainly loosen the fat. I've only read negative comments. Aren't there any POSITIVE ones?-It doesn't help 'anything' at all?
Unless I get some positive comments, I'm selling it.
How much can I get for it?
Thanks.
I remember the machine well... However. We DID NOT wear those rediculous outfits. It wasn't in the twenties as those outfits look like. I went to a gym in the late 60's or early 70's and yes I remember the wooden dowel type things that broke down the fat. We would ride the mechanical bikes for 20 minutes then go the the "dowel" machine to break down the fat and then to the belt machine. I really wish I could remember the name of the machine but nothing I have seen in the comments sound like what I am trying to think of. We also did some floor excercises. It was so much to "lose weight" but to tone up your bodies.
I used to work at a health club back in the early 80's and we had one of the wooden fat roller cylinders. I would love to have one now...I think they did work at helping to break up the fat on my legs and reduce the appearance of cellulite. If anyone finds out where one might be found...please post!
Did you ever get any comments back re: the fat roller machine. I used one at Gloria Marshall and I'm trying to get hold of one myself. I wish someone had one as well.
I will be listing a Vibrating belt machine on ebay tonight, if anyone is interested. It's from the sixties and works great. User name: espo58
PS I miss Elaine Powers too!!!!
I guess my gravitar isn't going to work, but if it does, it's a picture of a machine that used to be in figure and reducing salons like Gloria Marshall & Elaine Powers called the ring roller. It works much like the knobby wooden roller massagers that everyone describes here, but it is used in a standing position. The user stands on a platform housing the motor which drives the unit up and down quickly over the torso. One set of rollers envelops the tummy area, another goes up and down on the back, more rollers squish the butt and thighs. It's quite a machine and from what I have learned it is made by MacLevy. If you want to see it work, go to corbismotion(dot)com, and type in the word "exercise" (select the archival, b&w, and real time search keys). It will be video C227-051. There are a couple of other passive exercise machine videos as well.
I would appreciate any info or stories you might have on the ring roller and how it was used for weight loss. Thanks!
Got one in my gym. Only used it once to see what it did. I wasn't tired afterward so I'm thinking it didn't do a hell of a lot. Theres always a line up of old women waiting to use it so there must be something they like about it.
I loved the Elaine Powers studio. Always kept me in the best shape. Does anyone have a list of the floor exercises they used to do? I would really love to get my hands on them, because they helped so much.

To all who know about those Old Time Exercise Machines. I am looking for one of the Vibrating Belt Machines and One of the Wooden Dowel, power driven, drum-type machines. If anyone knows where I could find one, or still purchase one from the companies who made them, please contact me.
I wanted to know if anyone could tell me where I could find a Vibrating Belt Machine and a Wooden Dowel, drum type, power driven machine that used to be around in the 60's and 70's? I would be interested in purchasing them if I could find them. Do any of you think that getting in touch with either Elaine Powers or Jack La Lane (if that is possible) that they could give us some more information?
What was the name of the machine with the rollers? I'm sure you have sold yours already but do you know where I could buy one?
