Fast Food Cereal Restaurants
Cereality is a cereal bar plus cafe. They serve brand-name cereals (hot and cold). You can add as much milk as you like (including soy and lactose-free). Cereality cafes are currently located in Arizona, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.
I wonder if they serve oats?

UPDATE: Yes, you can get oats. Here's the word from Cereality:
Yes indeed we do made to order Quaker oatmeal every day...which you can have VERY VERY plain OR with any topping we have (e.g., bananas, dried fruit, nuts)...addiitonally, we've added more organic cereals to our menu and are now doing "distance catering" if you want to impress your office mates with a different kind of meal instead of sandwiches or cookies or even bagels...

This is kinda crazy. Why not just make a grain shop with other stuff besides only cereal. Yet how exotic can this stuff really get. When coffee shops got crazy configurations they only increased the calorie count. Now the only thing that would make me laugh in a dark way is if a serial killer were arrested in one, or if a serial whatever.
Replythis reminds me of that cherios comercial where everyones ooohing over cereal!
ReplyJoker... that is one wicked pun!
ReplyI actually thought of this a while ago...I should have acted on it. Sometimes the boxed cereals don't have everything you want in them, so my idea was to create a "make your own cereal" bar with different flakes, dried fruits, granolas, etc. so everyone could customize their cereal and then eat it. I thought it would work especially well on college campuses where people eat breakfast at weird times or otherwise might not have time for it.
ReplyIt sounds a bit silly to me, cause cereal is so easy. Why would you pay for that? But then again, in America you pay for pretty much everything pre-made, so I guess it makes sense.
I buy bulk grains and cereals so I have a variety (homemade granola and muesli, unsweetened corn flakes, unsweetened rice krispies, Fiber One, etc.) but in the end, I eat oatmeal most days, and when it is too hot for oatmeal, Swiss Muesli (grated apple + uncooked oats + lemon juice + milk, prepared the night before. I top it with more fruit and a bit of yogurt the next day), and all my cereal variety is used in muffins and cookies.
ReplyCereal companies are advertising to substitute two meals a day with their cereal and loose 10 lbs in two weeks. You start to get a wee bit suspicious of that wich is in your face too much.
ReplyI think it's a boffo idea! Wish Cereality would come to Toronto. And Spectra, I would hope they'd adopt your "make your own cereal" suggestion.
ReplyWow, we always get the good chains last in New England. How much is the cereal anyway?
ReplyI actually invented the idea of cereality, and am in the process of suing the company. Oh wait.... am I a great big fat girl?? Hello Mr. Jamieson!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyMy sister and I originally thought of this idea, but we never acted on it.
