Fast Food Maps
If you thought fast food vendors were everywhere - you'd be right. Using Google Maps, this site has come up with a map of over 27,000 fast food outlets in the US (via a Full Belly).
A zoom in to Los Angeles shows 171 restaurants. Key: M (McDonald's), B (Burger King), J (Jack in the Box), W (Wendy's).

Just think...that's only 4 chains. That is a LOT of fast food. No wonder people stop in those places. They are literally everywhere. I bet every one of them is busy all the time, too.
ReplyThis is one frightening map. Since it is an economically driven phenomenon we must be getting what we are asking for – a burger joint on every corner. Maybe you could plot the emergency medical facilities on the same map and see if there is a correlation?

ReplyTalk about market saturation! I bet those who have gone before us over a hundred years ago would turn over in their graves if they knew the crap that people injest today. How pathetic it has become since we have went from "real" food to "death" food.
