Brazilian Diet Pills Causing Stir

Unfortunately yours was not a good one, Mine was. I am not encouraging anyone to take them as well. I just so happen to let people know that there are too many pills with different names being sold and that they need to be careful.

I am typing this up as I open the package. It does say "made in brazil"

It does say "emagrece sim" with a small "tm" on the upper right-hand side. everything appears legit so far. What about you guys?

Well looks like we have the same product and everything i have been told on how you tell if it is real or not is what it seems i've got there is alot of misspelling on the little eating guide. Doesn't TM stand for trade Mark? I think it is real, I guess we'll see after a week or so of taking it if it works...right.

I ordered level 5. What did you order?

It says to take your morning dose for the first 6 days and then add in your afternoon dose and I was told you should take your morning dose around 9 am. I went ahead and took it when i got mine, I don't feel weird, I was starving before i took it and i was a little less hungrary about 30min after but i still had to eat lunch. But i can let you know more tomorrow how things go.

Ligia, I'm from Brazil too. These are definitely illegal pills. Amphetamines here in our country can only be obtained from a doctor.

Cynthia, I don't think I'm better than anyone. The only difference between me and the other people not taking pills and you guys taking them is that we are at a much smaller risk for serious health problems. I don't make moral judgements on people, whether they use drugs or don't use drugs of any kind. I shared my story about being supportive of friends who chose different paths, like bypass surgery, lap band, taking amphetamines. I also supported friends and family members who decided to not diet anymore and follow a book called "Overcome Overeating" (you can search it in Amazon), who did Atkins, who did Weight Watchers, and who took Meridia. I didn't do any of these things, but I think each person has to do what is best for him or herself. My point here was basically: no, these are not all-natural harmless pills that are like taking Echinacea. The article on the blog shows the dangerous substances in them, and since they are unregulated, who knows what else they may contain. So people choosing to take them are not choosing to take amphetamines - they are choosing to take mystery pills, containing God only knows what. And you can't really make "an informed decision" to take something if you don't even know what it is! I'm not against diet pills, I just find taking mystery pills to be very dangerous.

Lisa, i just found a website for NBC4 news and they did a story on the brazilian diet pills and they said it is unknown which ones are harmful, but an independant lab tested the ones you have from braziliandiet.com and they said those were safe you can go to NBC4tv.com i think or just look up brazilian diet and you can find it. Hope this help ease your mind a bit, still don't know if they work.

Lucia, I do have free time. I work support, so when all goes well, I really don't have a lot of work. Now, I don't judge the kind of time you or the others spend here or on the phone ordering the pills, and yet I'm the judgemental one. Hmmm.

Lisa, if you just search "brazilian diet" the nbc4 -news- brazilian diet pills story is about the 4th or 5th down.

Jan, prove that these pills you speak of are illegal and dangerous. one single news report doesn't prove anything and we all know how they embellish and misconstrue facts just to grab attention and gain audience. So, since you say they are illegal, made in the black market then prove it.

Lucia, I'm Brazilian, live in Brazil and I know our law doesn't allow amphetamines to be sold over the counter, or to be exported. Ligia said she never heard of them. I can give you links to the ANVISA website (it's like our FDA) but they will likely be in Portuguese. Do you have someone that speaks the language and can translate to you?

I also read an article from the Miami Herald and alo9t of the ones that had amphetamines in them are aparently differnet ones cause they were also given with an orage pill you took at night to help you sleep that had a traquilizer and a small dose of prozac in it.

Karen, they can come from NY and still be manufactured in Brazil. NY can just be a vendor that distributes to the public. It is just like going shopping and buying things, clothes, foods that are made and grown in foreign lands but sold in an American Store.

My husband said he watch the Big story on TV and the bottle was white and said something Brazilian Diet Something. So when i got my today he said that it wasn't the one that was on TV. So that's good that it's not the harmful one, but i'm not sure it's the one that works. I'll let ya know after a few weeks.

No cause i showed him a picture of the ones on brazilian diet.com and asked him if those were the ones and he said he wasn't positive. Of course he wasn't taking his time cause he had something on his desk he had to get to...so you know how that goes. But i know that one of the articles i read tlked about the emagrece sim and how much people lost using it like 18-24 lbs in a month. As did the lady i talked to on the phone at NYemaggrecesim.com said she lost 18 lbs in the 45 days on level 2. so we will see.

(1) are these not the original ones that really WORK? (2) just ordered last night on web and could possibly cancel and order through the emagrace site mentioned. any thoughts?????

I am Brazilian also, but have been in the Usa for 20 years. Unfortunately, these pills are making it here from Brazil. The doctors over there are selling them like crazy. They ship them as if they were vitamins. This way they can pass thru customs or thru the mail without a problem.
Thre are doctors in Ipatinga, Gov Valadares and Belo Horizonte, as far as I know. There are so many people taking them. They start to loose weigh and then they start to find out they have some kind of health problem.
I am not sure about all these other sites they have been talking about, but there must be some conections with he "Real Ones from Brazil"

I live in Miami and have taken the ones from Herbathin.com. it took about 2 months to get my order in but they do work. you have to fill out a medical questionaire to get them and it took a looong time for them to get here, but when they did, i started taking them, ate sensibly as suggested and drank A LOT of fluid, did light excercises and lost about 12 lbs the first month only taking the morning dose (i didn't feel i needed the afternoon dose), so from my experience with the herbathin.com, i feel they are original, didn't get any side effects, wasn't hungry but did eat. was super thirsty all the time, the only downfall about ordering from this site is the length of time it takes to get them because they apparently order them in accordance to what you answer on the medical questionaire.

Cynthia, what are you talking about? How about some documented proof from a known credible source? Jan, let's see your "proof" about these very pills in portuguese. I don't care to see the name of an organization or government agency. Any agency can be paid off to say anything positive or negative depending on who pays more. Didn't you learn anything from the celebrex ordeal? Anyway, please do post the sources you've read or heard that made you decide to take the stance that you take on the brazilian diet pill. How did you form your opinion?
