I hear over and over again about how many people are dieting and exercise and "still haven't lost any weight". Part of that could be due to a lack of awareness. Many people overestimate how much they actually work out and underestimate how much they eat. Working out is also not a free pass to eat more, which is what a lot of people do. You have to be brutally honest with yourself about portions, exercise, and the types of food you are eating in general. I understand the desire to "want the weight gone ASAP" but if you didn't gain it in 2 weeks, it's pretty hard to lose it in 2 weeks as well.

I kind of wonder too, why everyone who is touting these pills is so defensive about it. Take them if you want; those of us who think they are dangerous are only warning people of the serious side effects that they usually come with. If you feel that taking illicit drugs is the only way your body will respond, go for it. No one's really stopping you except the US government and the laws in force surrounding controlled substances. I always thought those laws were there for a good reason.

FDA? yes, they do protect us from harmful medications like nexium, celebrex, vioxx, and betra but not when the pharm companies pay them to keep quiet so they can continue to profit.

I have some info for you. If you go to www.siglas-inc.com there is some info on emagrece slim but it is only in spanish. If you call them at 1-888-273-8121 and ask for an english speaking person and give them your email address they will email you all the ingredients. Of course I don't know what half of them are but maybe this will help some of you. jam

I posted this because I thought it might help people. I live in Europe, my friend lives in Miami. She & her family have gone through painful moments because of this, she is recovering, but very slowly. I really doubt that she wants to go public, as I said, doctors have not said that she ended up in the emergency room because of the emagrece sim pills, but she was taking them, so this is only a possibility. If you read the Miami Herald article, she was one of the two the doctor spoke about. In the meantime, we are just hoping she recovers soon.

There is a distributor in Miami, FL called Johnson Pharmacuticals. They say that they are FDA approved but the reason they are approved is because they needed to remove 2 ingredients. Those 2 ingredients are the 2 major ingredients to lose weight. I do not know what these ingredients are though.

I did see the FDA approval on them myself but are less effective than the original non FDA approved

Its really hard to get them now because of the controversy. I get them from a brazilian lady that goes to brazil herself.

The FDA approved brings the orange and yellow capsules and are lighter in color than the original. This box looks exactly like the non approved FDA original, except its more narrow, because it does not contain the gel.

The non FDA approved pills are darker and bring the cellulite gel. the box is wider because it brings the gel.

you need to do your homework.. findind the originals is not easy any more

If u do get the originals u still need to eat right and excersice. if u stop taking the pill and continue not haveing a healthy eating lifestyle and excerise YOU WILL GAIN IT BACK..

It sounds like there is no way to get the original with the effective ingredients, unless you are in Miami or know someone who brings them over from brazil. I was looking at buying the herbathin from http://www.herbathin.com/, I called and they said they are the same product as emergence sin, but under a different name. It takes anywhere from 3-6 weeks to get because it comes from brazil. Although I am hesitant to spend that much money if nobody can confirm if they work or not.

to be honest no website will ship the originals to the US, because they are not FDA approved. The ONLY way to get the originals is if u know someone who goes to brazil.. all these websites that sell "emagrece sim" or pills that have the same ingredients but are under a diffrerent name are DANGEROUS and not the ones

There must be some you can find online that work, Nelly said in her posting that she found some online and has lost 56lbs. I am not sure if these are dangerous ones. But, from what I have heard the original and VERY effective ones have amphetamines in them, and this is why they are so incredibly effective. This obviously makes them dangerous.

First of all, I am astounded at the percentage of people asking for information to buy these pills. I just shake my head and wonder at how crazy you people sound. You really sound psychotic and obsessed.
Second, I think that the old saying "if something sounds too good to be true.." might apply to these pills.

Why not just try a Lap-Band? A lot of insurance companies will pay for that and the risk of having surgery is probably less than the risk of ingesting unregulated diet pills. Plus it is a program under the supervision of a physician, dietician, and psychologist.

This is scary, but why did I still look up "Brazilian Diet Pills?" Even though I heard how horrible they were on the Today show...I don't know, it's weird, you almost feel like it is your last resort.

I was ADDICTED to Metabolift pills in college. I mean, I could not function without them, the ephedra kept me going all day, I was skinny, happy, and actually got the best grades ever. How sad...

When they banned Ephedra, I obviously gained the weight back...and more. And I have tried every diet pill since then (about 5 years now), just to try and get the same effects.

The latest one is Lipodrene, supposidly it has some ephedra alkaloids (they mimic ephedra) in them. They do give me almost the same feeling. But, it's a drug...and I know I have become addicted to that feeling...it is like speed, I did spend days in the hospital.....
I never told them that I was taking the pills though. I had one bout where I threw up for days, and could not keep anything in my stomach, I went to the hospital and they pumped me with IV's all day, since I was so dehydrated. I don't really remember that much of it, since my electrolytes were so messed up.

So, why did I order Brazilian Basic pills? Who knows, easy fix?? IT is sad, I am an extremely well educated woman, who is in control of every other avenue in my life except for this.

you can get them online, just google "Lipodrene", they make you feel full, they have hoodia...and make you a little jittery....I just got them a few weeks ago, and I haven't seen much improvement.

Lap-Band is very dangerous and there is a very good chance you won't lose any weight.

They can print out labels and glue them on packages in Brazil, too. Computers and scammers exist in Brazil also. My point being that there has to be more to indicate that the product is authentic. Vendors can distribute this product Made in Brazil from anywhere on the globe. I need more indicators as to what to look out for when mine arrives.
