Serve it - and They'll Eat it

Research undertaken at Cornell University shows that kids have no idea when enough is enough.

The team found that the biggest determinant of the amount kids ate was the amount they were served. What kids ate previously, and the fat, protein, or carbohydrate content of their food, did little to influence kids' intake, the investigators report in the journal Appetite.

When I went to college I saw this happen first hand. Food would be in front of me and I would eat. I couldn't afford anything else except fast food and I didn't want that. And the salad was always brown and wilted. The veggies were always so over cooked, the nutritional value was shot.
