Grapefruit Diet: Smells Good
The Grapefruit diet is one of those fad diets that float in and out of urban mythology. The diet is a simple low-calorie diet with lots of grapefruit. Some unusual research in Chicago shows there is something about all that grapefruit wafting out from your pores:
...the scent of grapefruit changed men's perceptions. Hirsch said that when male volunteers were asked to write down how old the woman with grapefruit odor was, the age was considerably less than reality.

Now, I think that there's something about grapefruit something akin to asparagus and sprouts. Not everyone can taste a chemical in sprouts that makes them taste horribly like burnt rubber to some folks - hence some people like sprouts. Similarly some people can smell asparagus pee, whereas others can't.
ReplySome people can't taste the chemical in grapefruit that makes it inedibly bitter, and hence enjoy the fruit for its tart, clean taste, whereas others have their tongues cloven to the rooves of their mouths by it.
Just a thought. Cheers,
Al

ReplyI am doing a paper for my health class on this diet, i really need some excellent information about this diet can anybody, some body help me? please!
ReplyWith oranges and other fruit I got over a cold in less then seven days by eating a grapefruit a day. My wife has heard that grapefruit eaten in excess may react with some arthritic medicines such as methotrexate and/or plaquenil. I can't find any info or documentation of grapefruit reactions, to certain medicines or medical conditions, all I know is that I like grapefuit whole or juiced, especially as a source of vitimin C.
