Coke Zero: Confused Anyone?

i do not drink diet since my weight is normal. I think if you are going to be on a diet just stay away from diet products since they do not taste the same and many ingredients are not good for you. I drink water most of the time its much healthier.

I had always been disappointed with the taste of Diet Coke. I often asked myself why they didn't just put the same flavors in Diet Coke they put in real Coke. It seemed simple enough. Well, I saw this Coke Zero and tried it. I started laughing just for pleasure--I had not done that since I was a kid--it tasted just like real Coke!! In fact, it tastes so much like real Coke, I feel guilty like I'm drinking the real stuff. I am still a little cautious with it, tho, because it does contain caffeine which makes me jittery. I hope it comes out in decaf. Then it will become the only pop I drink.

When I try regular sugared Coke now, THIS Coke Zero actually tastes better.

Been a Diet Coke drinker all of my life (23 years) and I decided to try zero. I like it. It's my new preferred poison -- tired of the side effects I am getting on Diet Coke and am actually getting tired of the chemically, tinny, taste, and the flat taste. One step closer to getting off this stuff forever, or at least moderately!

ss you are totally correct. I've recently began suffering with swelling in the ankles, and it is def. the splenda. I used to think this bad talk on all this diet stuff was a bunch of balony until I started suffering myself. I will do a test and take out all artificial sweeteners from my diet and see what happens. I will post and let you know!

Why in the world are you discontinuing Diet Coke with Splenda? That's the BEST Coke on the market right now. Not to mention that it is good for folks who can't drink aspartane or sugar.
Why is it you don't do more to rid us of sugar? Diabetics can't have it...and then when you find something they can have...you discontinue it. Dumb...that's all it is...your people have gone DUMB!

I'm addicted! I love Coke Zero... taste WAY better than any diet drink out there to me. It can't be any worse than any of the other diet/no sugar drinks out there.. Yay Coke Zero! i luv u!

what the hell is everyone's problem? People are NOT trying to scare you, they are just trying to INFORM you. It's TOTALLY your decision if you''l believe it or not. If you're gonna be drinking it still or not. aspartame is said to be a CHEMICAL used as ARTIFICIAL sweetener. but if you still prefer to chug on gallons of whatever liquid containing this - then hell -GO! to my knowledge sugar naturally tastes SWEET. but if your doctor says you already have diabetes, definitely you are INFORMED that soda won't do you good. But if you're that persistent, i don't think soda content is the issue here. It's DISCIPLINE. well who am i to speak.. it's your own life that you're actually compromising. whatever your point is. i'll just leave you with one thing... _TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING IS BAD.

I was adicted to original Coke but was making me gain weight of coarse so I gave Coke Zero a try and it doesnt make me gain any extra weight. yay lol

(and yes I know it doesnt make you loose weight either it's just nice it's not the cause of me gaining it)

It's even more adicting then the original in my opinion, doesnt quite taste as good but somehow good enough to satify me. I just wish it wasnt so bad for your teeth among other things.... but im to adicted to stop now :S oh well

Can anyone tell me why I can't find Caffeine Free Coca-Cola Classic anymore? I can only find the diet version and aspartame gives me an instant migraine. I have looked in 5 different major food store chains (including Wal-Mart), gas stations, even vending machines. What's a girl gotta do to get a decaffeinated drink around here??? ;-)

A Scientology nutritionist made this same claim to me about a penny disinegrating in soda. I actually tried it this experiment. Absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G happened to my penny after almost a month! Just another bogus scare tactic. You should try things you hear before believing it to be Gospel.

I have been getting chest pains when drinking Coke Zero lately. Kinda freaks me out. I am actually googling "Coke Zero Chest Pains" right now - since I have them right now - and this is where I ended up. Maybe the hospital is in order.

I happened to be among those who was sent a 6-pack of Coke Zero when it was being tested before it was placed into the market. I liked it thoroughly then, and indicated such on the forms completed; and I still do. It comes far closer to regular Coke than Diet Coke, and better than Diet Pepsi approaches its regular counterpart.

I normally hate any diet colas, but I tried Coke Zero and to me it's the closest thing to "real" coke I've tasted. Diet Coke I can only drink with food, Coke Zero I can drink by itself.

Coke Zero tastes so good because it contains sodium (salt). Diet-Rite does not contain sugar or salt. The true diet drink.

Aspartame should be illegal in North America as it is in a growing number of other countries around the world. I would urge you to find out what you are putting into your body... Coke and other companies that manufacture and use artificial sweeteners don't care about what they are selling to you as long as they are making a huge profit doing it...

I recently start drinking those zero sugar drink ,now develop big headache that never happen before. Beware of those drinks.

My wife and i just purchased a bottle of coke zero, i'm a coke drinker ( original coke )but this coke zero is a real zero it tastes like flat soda that has been open for a week.We're are both very disappointed.

I LOVE Coke Zero, I enjoy a coke now and then but now that i have been drinking these i feel like I NEED ONE (OR 3) EVERY DAY!!!!
BUT NOW I AM SO THIRSTY ALL THE TIME!!! In fact today just this morning I have had 3 12 oz glasses of water and I feel like I haven't even had anything yet, and this has been this way for days or a week. SO I HAVE BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH, and i went to this site on diagnose-me.com and plugged in excessive thirst, and I think I may be ingesting too much aspartame or something. and several more of the symptoms listed under that fit me

Diet Coke uses the "New Coke" formula as its base. It came out around the same time in the 1980s. It's essentially New Coke with artificial sweetener instead of sugar/corn syrup.

Coke Zero uses the Coca-Cola Classic formula, hence the different taste.

i love reg coke, but coke zero is the best diet soda i've ever had, delicious, with no 'diet' taste. i have also tried the cherry and vanilla flavors whgich i'm also a fan of.

I am trying hard to figure out why anyone in their right mind would drink any product made by Coca-Cola. Read through the comments. This one is horrible, that one tastes like dirt. This one is loaded with chemicals, that one tastes like oak bark.
Use the brain in your head, open your eyes and buy a bottle of fruit juice for Pete's sake. You don't need give your dollars for a bottle of chemicals. Just knock it off.
And while you're at it, stay away from fast food joints too. Go to the deli and buy a real sandwich.

I myself, don't like diet soda. I have tried the coke zero and didn't find it appealing. But i have tried a couple other coke zero flavors..cherry coke zero and sprite zero. Now these 2 i really like. Also, i am a diabetis type2 and find that after drinking these drinks and taking my blood sugars my levels don't go up as with regular soda. So i'm staying with cherry coke and sprite zero.

I'm in love with Cherry Coke Zero! I've tried Diet Cherry Coke... it tastes like a Diet drink, whereas Cherry Coke Zero tastes like a regular Cherry Coke! Cherry Zero I love, Diet Cherry I don't even like - BIG difference!

I may love coke and the diet coke and coke zero say there is no sugar but how can we prove that for sure? They all taste the same which means that they put sugar in all coca-cola products. So why purchase one type of coke when all of them contain the same amount of ingrediants?

I just bought and drank some Coke Zero and I don't like it. First impression of the flavor is that it tastes really salty and it still has that really nasty diet flavor to it. Please make sure it is absolutely ice cold before drinking. Warm Coke Zero tastes like urine that has been lightly sugared. Coke Zero seems to have less aspartame in it. I wish they would just increase the cola flavor to offset the dominating aspartame flavor. Caffeine content is adequate. Why in the world does diet cola have to taste like diet cola?

If you want to compare Diet Coke to Coke Light (Euro) fly Delta to Germany, save a Diet Coke from the trip over, on the return flight you will be served Coke Light, because of an agreement, it is ours on the way over but Delta has to server theirs' on the way back. Go figure, I had bought some Diet Coke while there and could not bring it on the plane, but you can take it off the plane when you get back.

Everything these days is bad for you. Mobile phones, red meat, the sun, lack of exercise, too much exercise, the list goes on and on. Get a grip people live life to the fullest. Coke taste good real good, anyone with half a brain can realise self control is the key.
