DietWatch Addresses Emotional Eating
DietWatch is an online weight loss program that has an excellent number tools to generate meal plans, track weight and exercise, and get support from a nutritionist and other dieters. The interface is clean and straightforward and has 4 nutritional choices - Balanced, Reduced Carb, Low Cholesterol, and Vegetarian.
DietWatch have just introduced a feature that I believe is a first for on-line weight loss programs - an 8 week interactive course that addresses the root causes of our weight gain. The course is called Mastering Food by Dr. Roger Gould.
I thought I recognized the name, and sure enough, about a year ago I had the opportunity to have email correspondence with Dr. Gould - and I got to go through the 8 week course (back then it was called The Psychiatrists Diet). It was an interactive workbook approach. You could not access Week 2 until you had completed Week 1.
The course was excellent and I highly recommend it. It's all about addressing the following 10 issues and habits:

Keeping My Weight in Mind
Avoiding Junk Food
Exercising Enough
Using Portion Control

Savoring My Food

DietWatch now has covered all the bases, addressing nutritional and exercise needs, as well as emotional and psychological issues.
Just wanted to update that I saw that there are 12 sessions to the Mastering Food program.
