Dairy For Weight Loss = Utter Confusion
Recently there has been plenty of talk about dairy products aiding weight loss. It has been thought that yogurt gave an extra boost to weight loss efforts on a reduced-calorie diet.
However, yet another study published last month found no benefit from dairy:
Teegarden explained that it was "not surprising" that women didn't lose weight, given that they were all young, active, and already at a healthy weight. "We expected women of this age to gain weight," she said. She noted that the original purpose of the study was to determine if calcium helps stop women from gaining weight.
What do we do with this information? Enjoy a balanced and varied diet, get active - and stop worrying about every new study that comes along...

I read your fine weblog all the time. I've been covering these dairy weight loss claims for a while, and hadn't yet read this interesting study you cite.
ReplyThanks for exposing both sides of contadicting studies. Looking on both sides of the fence helps people find their own best way.
