Healthy Eating: School Students Don't Want It

"Bring back the deep fryer".

Antioch Community High School have given their best shot at a Health Eating Campaign, but the kids aren't buying it:

After kicking off a healthy eating campaign this year, it turns out kids aren't biting - literally. About 30 percent of the students are turning up their noses at pretzels and apples and bringing their own burritos.

It seems they've arrived at a compromise - give the kids back their french fries and it might keep them happy.

You know the old adage - you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

... as a high school student, your probably right on that I wouldn't grab an apple at school. But give me healthy choices like, granola bars (healthy ones), yogurts, cheese sticks, etc, and i (and many of us) will do it. heck, make it even better and actually prepare a few healthy things... they'd taste better and the complainers probably wouldn't even know to complain.

Exactaly, all school food does is make us fat! If they gave us healthy food only, then guess what? Kids could either starve or eat healthy their choice.

Don't blame the school food. If you are overweight it is because you aren't making the right food choices and aren't getting exercise. Bring your own lunch.
