Fat-Free Hot Dog
Scientists and nutritionists in the UK have come up with a new way to combat growing waistlines - a fat-free hot dog:
...a low-calorie, vitamin-enriched hot dog that can prevent cancer and reduce cholesterol, and yet tastes exactly like the real thing.
This could be the first in a string of 'super-processed' foods:
Rather than demonising unhealthy and processed products, they are looking at ways of turning "bad" foods into good, while making the good even better.
"The biggest problem is to get baked goods like cakes and bread to taste the same while reducing the fat content,"
It's quite astonishing really... refine and process a whole food so it's nutritionally poor - then try and add the nutrients back and make it taste better. Am I missing the point here?

I guess we're both missing the point then. I'm still trying to figure out where exactly the logics in all of this is. Isn't it easier to just eat, well, the original foods... *shakes head*

hello
hmm the desire to be thin is to be happy.. its how you feel is what makes you happy, and what you want to do. I was fat before so I went to the gym, I ate healthy, I would eat breakfast, cereal Cheerios typically, with 1/2 banana and skim milk( just look in the word it self , it has real in it ) at around 7:30, I would drink green tea after to help digest it down, than I would eat lunch at 11:30 that consisted of a salad that included lettuce, tomato, brocolli, egg, a piece of toast with a little bit of butter, and a yogurt ( taking 25 mins to eat it) untill my next meal that would be at 3:00 pm I drank 1 litle of water ( after lunch to help digest it). At 3:00 pm i woul dhave an apple, and cheese, and untill 5:30 I would drink water to help digest it ( or green tea ) 5:30 was another meal time which consisted of a salad, fish, a piece of bread and fruit. After dinner I would have green tea, and water to help digest it) at around 8:30 I would have snack that consisted of an apple or fruit or yogurt. I would excersize 3-5 times a week that consisted of cardio, and 1 hour of weight training (4-5) days a week. I had experienced trauma in my life which made me bulimic ,and I started taking diet pills. I would ride my bike and eat every 3 hours and lost weight. I lost weight. SCHOOL is what made me stressed out because a person can't do everything at once ( deal with too many emotions at once , study , pass tests, work to make money )So now Iam just focusing on my self and I realized what makes me happy: excersizing, eating healthy, and hopefully I can make a career out of that because that seems to interest me the most. I want to be a dietitian.
