Celebrity Geri Halliwell Stops Dieting
The influence that celebrities have on the world of dieting is profound. Sometimes it's worth reporting a positive message. UK celebrity Geri Halliwell (formerly of girl band Spice Girls) makes some interesting statements regarding her battle with her weight:
"I don't want it to be the topic of my life anymore," she told Cosmopolitan magazine. "Now if I exercise it has to be for pure fitness and not to lose weight. I have spent too much of my life focusing on that. I've done a lot of work to move on."
And she added: "The healthiest diet is the self-acceptance diet."
Wisdom can be found in unusual places. The healthiest diet is the self-acceptance diet. By accepting yourself you can begin to respect yourself, which in turn means you might start respecting your body - and caring for it.

Who cares?
ReplyIt's for the young people who look up to her as a role model. I was 14 when she came out with the Spice Girls and yeah, I'm thankful that I didn't have to be forced to see thin people everywhere around me when I was that young. I was 5'11 and 150 pounds and I never worried about feeling fat. I felt pretty healthy.
ReplyNow you have people pushing size zero on models and actresses and everyone acts like it's the new standard. Can a growing kid keep up with that? Do they question their weight or question the system that's pushing skinny models and actresses on people? So it's let people know that celebrities aren't just more gorgeous and it's not acceptable that people just be sticks and bones.
