Amazing Diet Patch: FTC Orders Shutdown

I ordered the free one week which I received but then a few weeks later they send me a package of their patches along with their weight loss system. I never order it or asked for it. Their 800 number is disconnceted and their web site will not come up. I figured they charged by credit card without me never ordering anything but have not got the bill yet. Can't believe they send you their product and bill you without the consumer even ordering it.???

I sent away for a sample and it don't even stay on so I lost my money, now they claim that if I don't want to continue then call this 800 number, so I called it and it is disconected so I am hoping that they don't use my credit card to send any more. I wish that I had known this before I sent anything in.

Try contacting your credit card company - often they will 'be nice' and reverse out the charges - if they can see that the merchant is fraudulent or going out of business. -Jim

I also ordered the product for free trial and was billed. I called and they said they would refund my money if i ssent the product in which i have. And that was about 2 months ago. It has never benn charged back to my account nor have i heard anything. The # is disconnected and i can't find the website.I wish i would have known . I used my debit card and the bank won't charge back without authorization. Mashael

I ordered the one week trial for $2.95. I used one and it stayed on for about a couple of hours and fell off. My son put the initial order on his bank account as a debit and the next thing i know his account is overdrawn for $169.00 plus the $30.00 service charge and I never received anything. I called the company and they told me they would do a reversal on the debit, which would be completed within 7 days and cancel everything. That was over a month ago still no reversal ..and no patches!

I had sighned up to recieve a 1 week supply of the diet patches and I recieved it in aboyt 2 weeks. I was not happy with the product so I tried to cantact them via website and phone but, they did not work. So I e-mailed them and told them that I did not want them to send me any more patches, but today i recieved another pack in my mail. I did not want this product at all and now i have to pay for it. This is just not right!!!!!

I ordered thier patches in December 04 and was told I had 120 days to try them and if they didn't work I could return them. I returned them with in two week's I haven't recieved any refund whitch they said I would get if I returned the unused product with the 120 day return policy paper. I called one of their billing people and the will give me a refund for one order but not the other two I ordered becouse they were billed by a diferant company.

Try 800-901-1182 to get through. I'm still waiting for my credit to appear. Is there a class action lawsuit we can join in on?

I tried that 1800 # and it said it was no longer in use. I don't know if there is a class action lawsuit we can join. I asked the bank to credit my acount with the money and they said no.

I seem to have the same problems everyone else is having w/ the amazing diet patch. Now, I can not contact them to have my credit card charge reversed. How do we get our money back?

I also ordered a trail sample for $2.95 and was then billed for $169. I called the 800 number and they were to reveres the charges, the charges just showed back up on my account. I tried calling but cannot locate the number and no one answers 800-901-1182. Does anyone have another number?

I SENT EMPTY BOX BACK AFTER 90dAYS. THEY SAID CREDIT USED WRONG EXP DATE. I WAITED ANOTHER 22 DAYS. THEY SAID IF I STILL DONT GET CREDIT THEY WILL ISSUE ME A REFUND CHECK.THIS PROCESS TOOK 2.5 MONTHS. I CALLED AND THEY ARE NOT TAKING ANY MORE ORDERS?>? THEY CHANGED THEIR NAME TO ULTRA PATCH AND TOOK OUR MONEY ?? THEY WAITED 5 MONTHS KNOWING MY BANK WONT INVESTIGATE THAT LONG OF PERIOD!!!!!

Ordered 1 month supply from "My Diet Patches", was not satisfied, called # on package and was told company was now "The Amazing Diet Patch", returned empty packaging to address they gave me for refund. They billed my credit card three times for $46.90, each time under a different name and all three are out of the U.S. - and never gave me a refund. Called several times and got recording saying they were no longer accepting new orders to contact customercare@mydietpatches.com. Its been over 1 month and I still have heard nothing. I have cancelled my credit card so they cannot charge it again. I also ordered this patch hoping it would work but of course it doesn't, nothing has so far!!!!!! Please let me know if you ever find something that truly does work, thanks!!!!!

I too ordered the patches back in October and sent a check for 69.95 and returned the product in November. I too called the 800 number and they said to e-mail them and they would take care of the problem since I paid by check there was a problem with getting my refund. I e-mailed them in January and have never heard anything back. Guess I am among the many who got taken by these frauds.

I can't remember if I paid by credit card or by post-dated check, but on my credit card statement what would the charges be listed from? I ordered this from AmazingDietPatches.com. I don't know if this information makes any difference or not. Please let me know the name of the company that would be listed for the charges on my credit card statement. So, I can notify my credit card company not to except any charges from this company or individual.

I wore the amazing diet patch for 2and 1/2 months and was alternating it betwwen upper brest at the end of this 2.5 months I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 33 I had seen the dr 4 months prior with no lumps and in December had 9 betwwen the two breasts and lymphatic invasion I wrote the company certified mail to ask for a refund which you were suppose to have 120 days and they received on day 121 told them that i believe that their product may cause cancer No response was ever given But beware this patch may cause Cancer in some people

I bought these patches in Nov of 2004 for $69.95. As everyone else has stated above...they DONT work, so I sent more then half of the leftovers back way before the 120 days expired for returns. They had said over the phone they were going to issue a refund by check and it would be in the mail, well weeks and then months went by....NO check. I wrote back and they said they would get another check out, well again, nothing. Then they stated they would issue a refund manually to re-credit my debit card, well again(what a surprise) NO refund showed up. I have gone back and forth over and over again with these people and they just basically keep giving me some excuse to keep delaying things and just making me think its coming and just hoping i'll finally give up and go away...but they are very wrong!!! They stated I get a refund, and I want it back. I just recently recieved an email and now they stated I need to go to my bank and have them issue the refund...nothing but SCAM ARTISTS!!! Everyone beware of them!!! Any suggesstions from anyone in a similar situation that used their debit card to purchase them, on how successful you were on getting a refund from your bank? Just like someone had written above, they keep pushing you off and delaying you just to the point of when the time limit is up for you to have any recourse about it. Believe me if I knew it was never going to come I would have gone to the bank immediatly with this.

I am with all of you. I was contacted directly by the company (yes they called me) asking if I would like a 1 week free trial. I agreed but also said do no send me anything else. They first charged the 2.95 and than a few weeks later came the $169.95 charge. I was told first that the credit card company would refund the money than 30 days later told that the company wasn't doing this but that the corporate office would issue a check. Yeah that was 3 months ago, All I ever got was the run around everytime I called the 1-800-901-1182 number. Last info I heard from them was a check had been cut on March 26 and will arrive with in 60 days. I had been calling the company every 15 days to stay on top of them but today found the number no longer in service. Than I did a web search and found this site Consumeraffairs.com. Apparently I am not the only one scammed. You can go to the sight and issue a complaint. I know there is a law suit in Illinois against some woman who was running the scam, but my stuff came from California and they claimed she was from Chicago, so maybe California was the place it was distributed from. I am not holding my breath for a return, but if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Also my prayers go out to Nadine who may have suffered the worse evil of all. I hope it all works out for you Nadine.
OH one more thing if you used a debit card it may never get removed but if you used credit card there is hope to get you money back. Of course if there is no place to charge it back to then that may not happen either. I am having my bank investigate any options now I will let you know if I find out anything new.

I ordered a free trial and was charged $157.00 on my bank card and never received the product. This transaction caused my account to overdrawn by $192.00. I think us consumers should have some recourse on this fraudulent action.

Yea these guys are awefull business people. To try and let people know all diet patches are not scamms I added free shipping and NEVER ANY RECURRING CHARGES on my website. The only reason we carry the product is because it was the winner of the CBS 4 GREAT WEIGHOFF. Results are great and feedback has been very positive.

This whole Amazing Diet Patch has had me working since December 04. The man I spoke to said that they would issue refund checks after their computer systems were up. Why would refunds be the only thing the computer systems were down for?? I'm glad that there is at least some people out there that are handling this case, because I'm at a loss, of temper, patience, and worst of all, $169.95 + 2.95 for shipping. What an awful way to take advantage of people and run off with SO much $$.

I also ordered a free sample with $2.95 shipping and handling purchase. Few weeks later my debit card was charged $169.95. I contacted my bank and filed an affidavit of misuse of my debit card. The bank refunded my money after investigation. In the mean time I had contacted the company they told me my product was in the mail and once I received it I could return it for a full refund. Several weeks later I received the 90 day supply and sent them back return receipt requested. I got my return receipt signed that an individual had picked it up at the post office box but to date no money has been returned to the bank. Fortunately my bank did refund me the money and absorbed the loss. Just as everyone else the number has been disconnected and the web site no longer available. Hard Lesson learned.

I am having the same problem as everyone else from this company...received the product, was charged $169, returned the product unopened, and have been trying for seven months to get my money back with no results. If anyone out there knows how we can get our money back PLEASE HELP!!!! Not everyone (ie: poor college students like me) can afford to throw $170 down the toilet.

I have been ripped off by them as well. I ordered 2 90 day supplies( One for myself and the other for my wife). I returned them unused and 2 months later and have gotten nothing back. Now the phone number doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions??

I am the same as the rest of you, ordered and received the patch, tried for just short of 90 days. sent the product back. I just got off of the phone with the credit card company that I placed this purchase on. We are starting a disputed purchase on the amount of 157.00. I hope that they will have more push with this company.

Sounds like im not the only one that is having this trouble. I aslo bought the 90 day program, didnt work at all and now Im trying to get my money back also. If anyone has more contact information please post it for us also. Thanks.

I had the same problem, but called up my bank and requested a chargeback. The money is now back into my account. It can take a little while, but it works.

I order this product and was guaranteed to lose weight but OBVIOUSLY this was a rip off. I tried to contact them for my money back, but the number was disconnected and never received an email after I sent it to them. I just lost $70...and now I'm pissed. Is there anyway to get the money back that they took from everyone?

Yes i ordered some diet patches three months ago and they said to call back if they didn't work. They didn't work all right, they just made my thighs bigger. I tryed calling back except it says no longer in service, what is up with that. I would like my refund now!! i did not waste a fortune on those patches and they didn't even work!! That is bull crap!! I need my refund now!!! Yall need to email or something, but i want my refund now!!!

i ordered the diet patches almost a year ago and of course they did not work so i sent them back for a refund. i called and called and the last time i actually got anyone they told me to go this web site to request a refund. so i did but no refund. i have threatened to take them to small claims court because thats crazy they are still taking peoples money. like mine and im sick of it. if any of you know a court claim that we can get on please let me know. we have to pull together to get these guys. i want my 69.95 back and i want it now. so the amazing diet patches are nothing but a scam, scam, scam. they best be paying me up because im not playing.

If you used your credit card you can probably get a refund. I asked my credit card company about it and all I had to do was submit the guarantee paper,the reciept that you returned it if u have it, and a letter explaining what happened, and they were glad to refund the charge. So hopefully anyone who purchased from this used there credit card....Hope this was of some help to anyone

My account was billed $ 157.00 and I had no idea. I had never order any diet patches. My credit card won't help me.

I ordered the amazing diet patch in 11-04 on my credit card. They charged me for the week free 2.95. Then they charged me 169.99. I returned the patches and still have not received a credit. I called several times and they said it was going to be a while. And now the number has been disconnected. I am writing a letter to my credit card company, so hopefully I will get my 169.99 back. I will never do that again.

I also Order 7 day free sample of the patches. for 6.95 cent it was only a free trail with no other orders. twice they have attempted to take money from my account without my permission and the patches have not worked I feel as though I,ve gain more weight. I,m very displeased.....

Hi, i have been fortunate to have ordered the free trial of the diet patch several weeks ago and NOT be charged. I was trying to contact customer service to track my order, to find out the line was disconnected. I immediately checked the web to find all your postings and phoned my credit card company to discontinue my credit card and have them reissue another. Best of luck to you all.

WOW! I am blown away by all the comments. I might have been one of the first users of these patches. I ordered a 90 day supply and actually liked them. They were curbing my appetite. My problem was that they would only stay on for 1 or 2 days instead of the advertised 3 days. I called the 800# and the guy told me he would send another full 90 day supply and to keep the origionals. He said just use them for less than the 3 days if they fall off. They did send me another supply and actually removed the origional cost, I believe $169. From reading your stories I think that i was in on the ground floor and the company was helpful because they were getting ready to screw thousands of people and didn't want any trouble at that time. All I can say was they were supposedly located in Tinley Park, in a strip mall at 159th and Harlem. That's Illinois 60477.

I feel the same wnting to eat anything that comes by me. I only need to lose 10 pounds and thats it and why is it so hard.
