McDonald's Diet: Lose 18 Pounds

A critic of Morgan Spurlock's Supersize Me has come up with a counter-documentary:

...Whaley says that "Supersize Me" is one-sided and a big fat fraud. Her film "Me and Mickey Dee" takes on the food police.

While lunching, Whaley explained that for the documentary, she ate nothing but McDonalds for two months, and she lost 18 pounds.

Supersize Me is good entertainment (and quite humorous at times). It educates you on how too many calories = weight gain. I believe Morgan Spurlock was eating around 5000 calories per day, so his massive weight gain was no surprise. The fact that he came straight from an (apparently) almost-vegan diet to full-on beef-infested hamburger heaven also struck me as a bit cheeky. I guess gradual diet changes wouldn't make good reality TV.

One of the messages I got from Supersize Me was: beware the calorie density of fast foods. This does not mean that fast foods or McDonald's are evil.

The left have the audacity to insist there is no liberal bias? I’m sorry but I cannot locate the trailer for "Me and Mickey Dee" nor where I can actually buy it. It appears that Morgan Spurlock is another Michael Moore wanna-be.

people missed the point. Most people DON'T EAT FAST FOOD ALL DAY LONG! It serves more to demonstrate the destructive capabilities of such crud they call food. Look at all the health problems that popped up and progressed throughout the documentary (super-size me). Why are people so bent on proving that McDonald's isn't bad for you? It is! It's not evil...it's just UNHEALTHY.

I work 5-6 days per week in mcdonalds and eat two meals a day there, and have been doing so for 5 years. I also eat mostly red meat when i am at home, and a small amount of vegetasbles and fruit. yet i am not suffering any of the effects that mr Spurlock suffered. I am aware that mcdonalds food is high in saturated fat, sugar and, the most evil substance known to man.. salt. But its not all that i eat so im not dying. Ask your doctor why mr spurlock started to suffer from scoriosis of the liver.

Spurlock proved how any bad diet habits will have severe health problems to your body.
