Zone Diet Wars
Diet programs are big business. Authors and companies have managed to build up brand-name diets, and are obviously quite keen to protect their brands. This recent Diet-Blog post talks about Dr Phil's brand wars - now it's time for the Zone diet.
Barry Sears Zone has been experiencing somewhat of a resurgence in popularity. Justifiably so, as the diet brings in a balanced approach between the low-fat and low-carb extremes (the Zone is simply a 40% carbohydrate, 30% protein, 30% fat nutrient ratio).
Up until a few days ago, the Zone could be followed at eDiets - now it has curiously disappeared - to be replaced with a "40-30-30 Plan". In addition to this, the Zone diet site is now calling itself "The Only Official Zone Diet Web Site"
