Anna Nicole Smith's New Shape

cbsnews.com: Asked why she decided to lose weight in the first place, since for a while she seemed comfortable in her own skin, Smith says, "I wasn't unhappy at all until just everybody just started ridiculing me so bad. I just got to the point that it was just like, 'My God, you know. Just shut up, everybody. What is the big deal?? And then I just looked in the mirror. I'm like, 'I am fat!'"

What really troubles me about Anna Nicole's support of TrimSpa is her saying, "It's really hard to eat, because, for me, it's like I've lost my appetite. So I have to really, really push myself to eat." That sounds like an eating disorder to me. If not for her, I can see where other dieters might fall into that trap.

To Babygrl-

Thanks for the great advice. I'm going to start TrimSpa this weekend and I was a little worried about the pills getting stuck in my throat, as listed on back label, but crushing them and mixing them up with my applesauce sounds like a plan. Thanks.
P.S. The week of 03/12-03/19 Trimspa is on sale at Walgreens. Hope it works!

I'm pretty sure it was just from diet and exercise, that is the only REAL way you lose weight eat less and exercise all that other stuff is fake.

I tried the trimpsa. I went through two boxes and I gained weight instead of losing. I was hungry all of the time. Good luck! Hope it works for you.

Nessa,, I don't think its normal that you gained that much weight in 3 years and that you maintain a healthy diet.. I don't think you need Trim Spa.. Maybe you have a problem with your thyroide gland.. Go see a doctor and make sure.

I am 5'9 and weigh 143 lbs, I would like to get down to 130-135, first goal is 140.

I started taking Trimspa yesteday, and I kid you not, I ate half the amount that I usually do. Food just seemed less interesting. It's like you are full, and you know that you have to eat because it's been 3 hours or your stomach is growling. I beleive that one should keep their metabolism rolling, that is why I eat every 3 hours. However, since yesterday I can't "feel" the hunger, I just hear my belly....weird.

Anyway, My throat feels a little swollen and I pee alot. But I can tell that it is working. I eat less. Basic mathematics.

Ana

I'm on day 3 with TrimSpa, I am still eating the same amount if not more. I feel really hungry all the time but I guess it's a good sign that my metabolism is working fast and now it's up to me to control what I eat. My throat is really swollen for about 5-15 minutes after i take it. What's going on there?

Reply
Alex

Ana:

I don't know, I feel the same way with the throat. I am not allergic to shellfish, so I figure it't not a big deal.

The info in the package said it could take upto 10 days before you feel the full effects of it.

How much weight do you want to loose?

Look, if you don't feel comfortable taking it, maybe you shouldnt. I'm gonna give it the 22 days that I have pills for and if it's not working, I will try something else.

I am too lazy to go to the gym

Alex-

I don't think I'm allergic to shellfish either but I'm going to stick with it, at least a bottles worth. I'm 5'8 and 167 right now and really need to get down to 145. I began dieting 3 months ago at 183 but it's just way too hard to keep up with eating right and exercising. Hopefully I will start to eat less.

Thanks for the advice

P.S. I know exactly how you feel about the gym- blah.

Sorry, forgot to ask, have you had any headaches while taking this?

Reply
Alex

Ana:

No, I don't have any headaches. I read quite a bit about it online and it really is imoportant that you drink. I swear to God, I have been running to the bathroom every hour..keep a bottle of water with you at all times, I'm sure that your headaches are just dehydration.

As far as the swollen throat feeling goes, for me gum seem to help.

so far so good, still nout hungry and no thoughts about chips or pizza...

You really don't have that much to loose, just keep it at 5 pounds at a time, one week at a time, and very soon, those pounds will add up!

Hi!

I have a eating problem, and have had it for a little over a year... ever since I got with my boyfriend. I've always heard that being in relationships causes you to gain weight, because all you do is go out and eat and hang around the house. I was in a size 9-10 when I got with him, and that was fine with me, because I'm 5'6", and I could actually shop at the mall. Like two months after we got together, all we did was eat bad, and do nothing basically. Now, a year and two weeks later, I weigh 204 at the age of 20, and am a size 18-20. And am very VERY miserable. It's like when we got together I just stopped caring about what I ate... I tried TrimSpa when Anna lost all that weight, but only took a few because I have high blood pressure, and was scared it was going to mess it up. My family doctor/friend, told me I could take any type of diet pill as long as it doesnt have ephedra. But I'm scared my BP will go up. I tried the low carb diet, and taking starch blockers and it doesnt work for me. I even got a Rx for Xenical from my doctor but it was seriously expensive, and I'm on a minimal budget with my bills. If TrimSpa really IS worth it, then I would be willing to buy it. I wanted to get the opinion of someone that is like me, and had the same problems. Sorry it took so long, I'm just really desperate, and need to do something. Oh, and last but not least, I'm a Police Dispatcher, so I sit for 12 hours, and there is always food around so I'm tempted.(Plus, I work the night shift) I just don't have the energy to exercise anymore... would TrimSpa be okay, even with my blood pressure, or would Xenical maybe be a better route?? Oh yeah, and those of you that said Anna sounded spacey before?? You are soo right. I was watching it tonight, and thinking, This girl was either seriously drugged up or totally wasted on alcohol because she sounds like shes been on a binge. But on a second note, she does look wonderful... even if she did possibly lie about how she did it.

Jessika:

I lost 20 pounds on South Beach last year, and I have put 5 pounds back on.

I think the first thing that you should do is figure out your eating habits. Write down EVERYTHING you eat and drink during a week, even the smallest things. From that you can easily examine what is uneasssary. Cut out what you think that you can avoid, maybe sodas or that extra muffin. You have to eat to loose weight, 6 small meals throughout the day. You should not deprive yourself of food, you body will fight it and you'll start craving bad stuff. Eat food, not bad stuff, but you should not go hungry. If you are hungry, you will fall off the wagon.

Trimspa might be a good idea, for me it is working as it is represses my appetite.

Put a picture of yourself when you liked your body on your fridge or keep in your purse to remind you what your goal is. Keep small goals, 5 pounds a week instead of "50 ounds until summer". Baby steps, you can do it!

Thanks again for the great advice. I will make sure to increase my water intake. For the first time yesterday I was eating dinner and after half of my plate I was so full. You couldn't pay me money to take another bite! So I think my appetite for large amounts of food is finally getting under control!

Jessika-
I know exactly how you feel about the boyfriend situation. I think that's when I gained most of my weight too. Now we have an agreement that when he decides to eat fast food he has to eat it in another room- out of my sight. Maybe you can talk to him about working together. Or possibly ask him to eat before you come home. Start out with the minimum amount of dosage (3) with TrimSpa and see how your body reacts, then work yourself up to the recommended amount (4). I also agree with Alex about the pictures. I have a couple of pictures in my room of models so when I get up to go to the frig. I see them and sit right back down. It's a excellent visual tool!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the advice Ana and Alex. I decided that maybe the best thing to do is to cut my calories... I have cut my calories down to 1000 a day for the past two days. I'm really hungry still, but I also havent gotten the TrimSpa yet. (I think I need a different job, LOL) I don't know how to eat... but I also did go to the gym the last two nights as well. I walked a mile and a half on the treadmill both nights, and lifted weights, and leg lifts. I feel better, but I'm starving! Everything that is low fat or fat free, is terrible, and I dont know what is low calorie PLUS good for you. You know, its sick really. Im watching that show Taking the Weight off on Food Network or something like that, and this girl was upset because she weighed 142... its like, what is her problem? I'm also the type of person that can not eat for a week and a half and lose 12 pds. (It's a shame you cant take out tonsils once every 6 months) I got on the scale that I've been working with and it said 196. I don't know if it's right though. Uhh about the TrimSpa, is it going to be ok with my blood pressure. Oh and Alex, I've tried the carb diet... I love carbs and gave in, and the starch blocker doesnt work. AND I've also done the picture too. You know, I sent the same pic to a friend while he was in Iraq... he came home 7 months later, and we met up, and he told me a couple of days after that that he "liked the way I looked before, like in the picture" and wasnt interested anymore. Nice guy huh?

Jessika-

Forget that guy, it's better you found out then what type of guy he is then later down the road. I think cutting calories is the way to go! Remember the reason you're so hungry is because of all the energy you are burning working out. Don't forget to fuel the body!! I know most of the low fat stuff sucks but eventually you'll develop the taste for it, I did. I love the Special K bars for a snack!!
I'm on week 2 and my body is working great with TrimSpa. I've lost 2 more pounds even though I was so bad with my diet this last week. Stick with it everyone!!!

Hey Jessika

Special K rule!! I also eat plenty of oatmeal. The taste isn't that bad and if it's still rough try a little sugar (honey is healthier)it's also an ok source of fiber which we need plenty of. For lunch I eat salads, but be careful with the dressing it can be deadly. :/ For snack I eat yogurt which I think are really good and prunes

Ana

which are a good source of fiber too.

I have read numerous comments about Anna Nicole Smiths weight loss and yes we can be sceptic as she does have so much money, did she have a gastric bypass, or a stapled stomach? We will never know as the stars don't let their secrets out so willingly do they? But one things for sure when I saw how much weight she had lost I got on the internet and researched TRIMSPA. I have been overweight all my life. I am 5ft 4 and up until 1 week ago I weighed 13 stone. I have been 13 stone for 4 years. I purchased TRIMSPA to assist me (along with a change in diet and plenty of exercise). I weighed myself this morning and I am 12 stone 6 already! I'm extatic. I have never popped pills before and am not abusing them by taking too many. Six years ago my family fell apart and I was 14 stone then. I was severely depressed and put on anti depressants. Two months later I had gone form a UK size 18 to a 12. So it was always in the back of my head that I knew I could do it. The anti depressants were awful. They took some time to get used to I would shake alot and stare loads too. They also surpress your appetite. I had gone from constantly snacking on junk all day to eating an orange a day, sometimes nithing at all. The thought of anything passing my lips was awful. I would be preparing my baby daughters dinner and normally wouldnt think twice of licking a finger with a little bit of baked bean juice, but I couldnt even do that! So I lost 3 and a half stone in just over 2 months. But I was depressed and didnt choose to lose weight. It wasnt just the anti depressents that made me lose weight though. At that time I was an at home mum with no car. I was severely depressed and for the first week or so I thought I had to get out of the house. Staying in gave me the excuse to cry all of the time. I walked about 8 miles a day. it did me the world of good and I guess what I am trying to say is that YES a pill is great in assisting you in weight loss but you need to get your body moving more than normal and take a hard look at your diet. I dont like being overweight. And I only have this 1 life. I am 24 and have a beautiful young daughter who is sooooooooo energetic and it would be nice to keep up with her for once. I have just found out that I have polycystic ovaries caused by a hormonal imbalance. I can't cure this in any way but the Doc says to lay off BREAD CHOCOLATE and high carb foods to help. You see since having these polycystic ovaries i have gained adult ACNE all along my jawline. I can take a pill to ASSIST in helping that problem but its not a cure. Again like I said the pill or tablet you are popping is an ASSISTANCE. You want to know about TRIMSPA. I ordered it 2 weeks ago. Thirty english pounds for 90 tablets. So according to the daily dosage the bottle should last just over 1 month. Its costly for sure! I have been taking it for 4 days now. I have a surpressed appetite. I have gone from constantly thinking about food and snacking all day to eating 3 meals a day. No snacks! Just dont feel like it. Its great. I love bread i am addicted to it but like the Doc said lay off of it to help your ovaries. So I havnt had bread for 2 weeks! I dont smoke. Trimspa has given me so much energy its unbelievable. I hate exercise but I find myself jogging on the spot and enjoying it. The first day I took TRIMSPA I took 1 pill at 6 in the evening. I was still awake at 3:30AM!. Normally I am soundo by 11PM. I start work at 07:30AM and am not a morning person at all. Having polycystic ovaries makes you tired all day and no energy but to sleep and eat. So thats all I did. I was spending so much on food and secret snacking too. What an awful way to live. I decided when I was 14 that I was gonna lose weight. I was probably about 11 stone then. I never did. I mean I tried but with no sucess and I was far too lazy at that age. Two years ago I did Atkins for 3 weeks and lost 1 stone and 3 months after had put that back on with extra pounds on top. I have tried almost everything. i would never go under the knife to fix this problem of being overweight. It takes hard work and lots and lots and lots of determination and will power. I wish I could do it alone without TRIMSPA, but having PCOS also means its much more difficult for me to lose weight. I read one of the entries before and someone said they didnt think Anna Nicole did take TRIMSPA they thought she was on speed. Well frankly I have read and heard what the effects of speep are and taking TRIMSPA is quite the same. But LEGAL. I am still the same old Vicki but with boundless energy and less of an appetite. The only thing I wish I could do is sleep. For the past 3 nights I have laid in bed from 11pm and still been awake at 2 or 3. Its not so bad at the moment as I am on holiday from work. So I am getting by with 3 or 4 hours sleep and geting up early, without being tired. But I am sure that will change when i go back to work next week. TRIMSPA says to take 2 pills in the morning 1 at lunch and 1 in the evening. I think i will leave the evening 1 out for now!

Vicki

Does anybody else have problems getting to sleep? If you could help in any way that would be great.

I know a girl who was paid by TrimSpa for her testimonial. They are full of crap. They gave her $700 to sign a form and take her photos.... Im sure Anna Nicole is doing the same on a larger scale. She said she took the a few times, it is no miracle pill she lost weight by going to the gym and eating right. Pills give you a bit of energy so you can get off your but to go to the gym and eat right.

Okay, just so were on the same wavelength, how much weight is a stone in US?? I was getting what you were meaning, but when you were talking about the weight loss it was confusing me. If you go back to my weight problems, I'm 20, and 5"5, and weigh 200, thats a size 18 or 20 in US. I'm losing weight by cutting calories. I've never had to take antidepressants, but I have purchased a bottle of Relacore, which is basically a "happy pill" that helps you lose weight. They claim that being overweight is targeted by stress. Which, at times I am... well most of the time I am, but havent taken anything.

As for your sleeping issue. I work night, and get up around 4:30pm, I work till 6am, and am usually fighting to go to sleep around 7:30am still. When I do sleep, I sleep for only a few hours, or on my days off its the other way around. I'll sleep 10-16 hrs. Which isnt good either. Ummm, when I have problems sleeping, I take Sonata or Ambien. I was able to get some samples from my mom (shes a nurse) but, you can always ask your doctor about some samples. The Sonata I've taken for a while, but any type of sleeping pill can be addicting so be careful and only take it when you absolutely need it, like I do. You can also buy Unisom or store brand names over the counter. Hope it helps...

I have always wondered if those pictures were fake or not... I had a feeling they were... lol. I think Anna, personally had liposuction, and she must have had extensive... I mean, come on. What celebrity that actually has the money to pay for things like that would rather go to the gym and bust their butt and take a pill for months, instead of getting surgery that would be effortless, and would be over in a few days?? None that I know of...

Hi Jessica -

A stone is 14 pounds. I weighed myself this morning and I am 173 pounds. Eight days ago I was 180 pounds. Along with taking Trimspa I am currently walking and jogging every or every other day! I live on a tiny island and we have beautiful sea and coastal views all around its a shame that I have been living here 24 years and never really taken the true beauty of it all in. On Sunday I cooked the family a big Roast dinner. I myself was feeling uncomfortably full so I suggested we all went for a cliff walk. It was superb watching the sun go down. It gives me the insentive to carry on. I take my camera with me too. My sleeping problem is getting better for sure. I am back to the old routine of fast asleep by 11! I think the more exercise I do the better it makes me feel happy to have all those happy hormones running through my body. Endorphins I think they are called!

Well, thats great that everything is working out. If you ever need the sleeping pills, like I said they work miracles. Wow, it must be nice to live on a island... I live in Florida, and it stinks... the only nice part is the beach... but I usually work too much to see much of them. I don't have enough energy or motivation to go to the gym anymore. I don't know what my problem is, I just want to be thinner. And happier.

I'm 23 and I've spent my life being over weight. At my heaviest point, I was 5'9" and 225. Now I am 180 and a size 10/12. I'm also in grad school and under more pressure then ever before.

How I did it, was to finally go to a doctor who specializes in weightloss and say, I can't do this on my own... I need help.

I joined a gym, kept the food journal, did the colon cleanse and I had minimal results.

We discussed herbal supplements. He gave me 2 to try. We also discussed prescriptions. This is my third month on Phentermine. It's been more than helpful as I change my habits.

I am concerned I'll gain the weight back when I go off the drugs. I think the biggest thing is to just focus on trying to be healthy.

Good luck!

i started taking trim spa saturday which was like 2 days ago...i can't weigh myself until i feel it's been long enough for it to start kicking in because if i get on a scale and weigh as much or more as i did before i started it will bum me out and i will backslide and give up. but i find that measuring myself with a measuring tape is okay though, i see more results that way. i too hope this truly works... i went from wearing size 10 jeans to wearing size 15-16 within a year. (i quit my job and laid around on the couch all day being depressed.)

Please don't fall for the advertising on TV. Losing weight takes hard work and dedication. There are three Ds in any weight loss program: diet, discpline, and dedication. If you don't have all three you will never lose weight. All weight loss pills are pretty much the same. If you read the fine print on the commercials and all the bottles they always say with proper diet and exercise. If you really want to lose weight then you need to give yourself 12 weeks of solid dedication to a program. Eat smaller of portions (4oz or less) of a balance meal at least 4x a day to include breads and desserts. There is no reason to starve or deprive yourself on any diet. Exercise at least 30 minutes 4 times a week. This does not have to be at a gym, just 30 minutes of some type of physical activity even something like walking or sex counts. Diet pills help you to increase you metabolism rate, but they all pretty much have the same types of ingredients. So even the cheap ones will help. I promise if you just stay focus and dedication almost any program will work for you. Don't get caught in the hype behind the commercials and fitness models theyuse. Most of the regular people they use on these commercials are part of a study group that the company use. These people are provided experts and resources you do not have that is why they get the results quickly. Keep your head up and stay focused.

Let me tell you all something...Anna Nicole is and always has been on speed..have you not noticed the way she talks?? shes a freak...shes starting to sound like Ozzy Osbourne! Drugs did it all for her...she was on meth when she was married to that old millionare...everyone knows that! Speed is the worst thing ever but the best diet someone can go on! its drugs guys! dont let her fool ya....nobody can do that with TrimSpa...it sucks! and she had plastic surgery too...have you notcied there is no skin hanging off her belly?? shes had a few tucks!!!!!!

The thing is, she might look good now, but unless her weight loss was real (not surgery), it won't last long. Our body has a memory of how much fat we have, and you can't just take it away with surgery and liposuction and expect our bodies to accept it. I fully expect her to gain most of it back, and I won't be suprised if she becomes just as heavy in a year as she was before.

Well...

It is the Hoodia that makes you lose the wieght. This is suppose to supress your hunger which inturn effects some part of your stomach wall...which is inturn connected to throat...so i think that all you that feel the constriction there would be bc of its results in the stomach.

I also feel that people that are considering taking it should have the mind set that this product or any other products that contain Hoodia (trimspas is not the only one), should be a stepping stone. Lose the weight...slowly get off it...and increase your exerices. If you notice smaller portions then try and stick to those when you are done.

I my self am going to try a Hoodia product that is not "Trimspa" that will do the same thing...jsut not as much money...i will keep you posted

Reply
Ben

Weight loss products claiming to contain Hoodia gordonii are using false marketing and stealing research. Hoodia gordonii is illegal to export and is patented by Phytopharm. Weight loss products using Hoodia gordonii are still in developmental stages, and researchers aren't even sure if it will be possible. Don't be fooled by Trimspa, Nutracore, and other brands claiming to contain pure Hoodia gordonii extract in their products.

From BBC news:
"Beware internet sites offering Hoodia 'pills' from the US as we tested the leading brand and discovered it has no discernible Hoodia in it."

From CBS news:
"So no one else can use hoodia for weight loss? 'As a weight-management product without infringing the patent, that's correct.'

But what does that say about all these weight-loss products that claim to have hoodia in it? Trimspa says its X32 pills contain 75 mg of hoodia. The company is pushing its product with an ad campaign featuring Anna Nicole Smith, even though the FDA has notified Trimspa that it hasn't demonstrated that the product is safe. Some companies have even used the results of Phytopharm's clinical tests to market their products.

'This is just straightforward theft. That's what it is. People are stealing data, which they haven't done, they've got no proper understanding of, and sticking on the bottle. When we have assayed these materials, they contain between 0.1 and 0.01 percent of the active ingredient claimed. But they use the term hoodia on the bottle; of course, so [the pills] do nothing at all.'"

Something good to try with oatmeal...berries...adds fiber...yummy...and if you go to costco get some frozen berries...warm them with honey...add too the oatmeal and then it doesn't seem so dry and bland
