Atkins Not Obese in Photos
The Business 2.0 weblog has photos of Dr. Atkins supposedly taken two months before his death. He definitely doesn't look obese to me.

Dr. Atkins is getting bad press for no reason. Sometimes the media is just plain ignorant.
Dr. Atkins was in the hospital when he died. He was given medication in an attempt to save his life that made him retain enormous amounts of fluid. He was grossly bloated ... not real weight.
I'm not an Atkins diet fan, but I don't think the media needs to rip him apart after death based on bad research and scanty facts.
