timesstar.com: In a shopping area nearby, the display case next to the entrance to Borders Books is overflowing with titles like "Fat Flush," Sugar Busters" and six versions of Atkins' books.
"Our front display is the first thing to go up after the New Year," says manager Jessie Santiago. "People start making resolutions, and the books start flying off the shelves. The South Beach Diet book is really popular right now."
Among other top sellers at Borders are Bob Green's "The Get with the Program! Guide to Good Eating" (Simon & Schuster, $24) and Bill Phillips' Eating for Life" (High Point Media, $35).
Whether you take your weight-loss advice from television's Dr. Phil McGraw, Suzanne Somers or GNC, there seems to be an urgent push to reach the zenith of weight loss wisdom, and to do it as fast as possible.
