West Virginia to Finance Surgery

Associated Press: "The state Medicaid program will resume paying next year for stomach-reduction surgery for the extremely overweight. Bariatric surgery has become increasingly popular in recent years and is covered by many private insurers, as well as Medicare and the state Public Employment Insurance Agency. Participants in the state Medicaid program, which covers disabled and low-income West Virginians, next year will be able to receive the surgery if it is deemed medically necessary, said Auburn Cooper, director of health care policy for the state Bureau of Medical Services. Is there any other state beside Virginia where medicaid will pay for bariatric surgery? Also dose anyone know of any other financing help that is available.

I'm actually trying to have this done right now in West Virginia as I am on Medicaid/SSI. They've been denying it saying its cosmetic when it's supposed to be an accepted surgery if it's necessary where in my case it is (6'6 650 lbs)
