Epidemic of Diabetes Worsening with Obesity
Reuters: "One in three Americans born in the year 2000 will develop adult-onset diabetes, a worsening epidemic that disproportionately affects women and minorities, federal researchers said on Tuesday. Rising rates of diabetes are directly related to the increasing incidence of obesity among Americans, said researcher K.M. Venkat Narayan of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta."

This information doesn't come as a surprise to me. But what's the large scale solution? At what point does obesity get its own "war" like the war on cancer or the war on AIDS?
Where do we go from here? Surely the general public is now aware that obesity is running rampant in children and adults. Is that the extent of the education? What's next?
