Like Warm Milk
Dr. Phil McGraw's new book, The Ultimate Weight Solution: The 7 Keys to Weight Loss Freedom is currently the third highest seller on Amazon. I've seen him briefly on Oprah, and although he does seems authentic and genuinely likable, a reviewer at Supermarket Guru said of the book, "the fact is that on the one hand, The Ultimate Weight Loss Solution reads like a glass of warm milk drinks. There's nothing remarkable about it, almost nothing surprising." Does Dr. Phil add something to the exsisting body of diet literature?

I don't think it's a bad thing that Dr. Phil's book isn't very surprising. There isn't anything surprising about how to lose weight. He is attempting to demystify the fad diet, and he is successful in his approach. Changing your thought patterns and preparing yourself for a new way of life is the only way to lose weight.
