Scientists find new obesity treatment
Washington Times: A team of scientists from the United States and Switzerland have used gene therapy to transform fat-storing cells into fat-burning cells.
The researchers triggered the change by adding a protein called leptin to cells. Rats given the treatment shed weight dramatically and without any apparent side effects.
