diet rankings

2007 was a fairly lackluster year for diet books.

There were no massive blockbusters like the South Beach Diet or the Sonoma Diet. However, there were a few interesting books to hit the shelves.

Here is our wrap up for 2007.

Epicurious have compared five popular delivered (prepared) diets. Fresh and whole foods win the ratings.

Consumer Reports have chosen the "best" diets and diet books. The Volumetrics eating plan was chosen as the best diet, and Bob Greene's Best Life Diet chosen as the best book.

This has been covered heavily in newspapers, but a closer look at the ratings criteria shows that the results are somewhat dubious.
