How cool is this! Cocoa Krispies, every child's favorite dessert--err, breakfast cereal--may actually support kids' immunity.
Or so says Kellogg's. And apparently, its some sort of unexplainable food magic, because nutrition advocates don't have a clue what Kellogg's is talking about.
Skeptics think Kellogg's is just trying to cash in on all the Swine Flu hysteria.

Popcorn and Cereals Contain Good-For-You Antioxidants
Good news if you love to eat popcorn at the movies--your favorite snack is healthier than previously thought! New research shows that popcorn and cereals contain phenol antioxidants, thought to protect against heart disease and cancer.
The study was presented to the American Chemical Society (ACS), and was led by Dr Joe Vinson, of the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.

Kids Cereal: Popular = Unhealthy
Okay, so we probably didn't need a study to prove this one, but nonetheless a recent analysis of 161 brands of cereals came to 2 unsurprising conclusions:
Breakfast cereals meant for children are of poorer nutritional quality than those marketed towards adults Cereals marketed the most heavily had the poorest nutritional qualityDr. Marlene Schwartz of Yale University - lead researcher of the study made the following observations:
