Le Whif: Chocolate You Inhale

By Gerald "Gerry" Pugliese on Mar 19, 2010

Sick of all those chocolate candies ruining your figure? Tired of your morning coffee making you pee a thousand times?

Well good news. Your answer has arrived!

Introducing "Le Whif," a chocolate or coffee flavored treat you don't eat, you inhale.

Sacrebleu!

Le Whif uses the power of aerosol to deliver a fix of chocolate, coffee, mint-chocolate, or chocolate-raspberry flavor, without the annoyance of chewing or swallowing.

"Particle engineering" allows you to taste all the chocolatley goodness, but the flavor particles are too big to enter the lungs, i.e. you won't die.

For you diet-minded folks, each Le Whif canister has zero calories, and the coffee flavor has as much caffeine as a single cup of espresso.

Le Whif canisters cost about $3, and are good for nine hits. Wow, quick delivery, instant gratification, sounds like an addiction waiting to happen.

All this talk about chocolate spray reminds me of Sinbad's NutriSystem bit:

Yeah, yeah, I know he's corny and lame, but much like chocolate you inhale, Sinbad is my guilty pleasure.

Well, this could be what us Chocoholics need! While we are being "good" and not eating chocolate whenever we want, this could be a great thing. I can just see me now at my next conference or event, sneaking off to have a quick sniff!
One small sniff, a giant leap for womankind.

Thanks for the lift:)

There was a scientific study about the aroma of coffee beans made mice more alert and they were able to complete a maze significantly faster then the mice that did not. I wonder what would have happened if they had allowed the mice to smell chocolate after hearing about this.
Here is a link to the NPR/science friday segment they did on it.

That's interesting. I love the smell of fresh coffee. Maybe I should just keep a pot brewing all day to get more work done, rather than stopping all the time to make a cup!!

Cocoa has health benefits besides the nice flavor. Personally I prefer a little chunk of 70-85% dark chocolate. Why bother with this nonsense? As long as you don't overindulge the real thing, there's no problem.

$3 for 9 hits of chocolate? Hmmm. I could picture chocoholics buying these things by the gross and inhaling them one after the other. It's probably a lot more satisfying to eat an ounce of actual chocolate. Cheaper, too.

I Love SINBAD!!!! He's not corny... ;P

But the one part is true, think about taking a whiff at your desk at work when 3pm hits, some people might think you are doing drugs...lol

I love the idea! I haven't drunk coffee for 10 years now, but need a little chocolate daily. :) I will definately be giving this a try!
