How Much Does Barbie Weigh?

Who knows and who really cares?

However we do know one thing.

The set of toy scales that come with a certain Barbie doll only go up to 110 lbs.

I think this song and video addresses this topic.

What the …? Barbie is too tall to weigh only 110 pounds. And what about her boobs? They HAVE to at least weigh something… It’s not like “they” stay round and curvy. She’s supposed to be in her twenties or something! I should say she weighs about 120 to 135. Something like that. Even teenagers weigh more then that.

Barbie is taking after Mary-Kate Olsen! Probably starves herself to have the “body” she has now.

Don’t get me wrong, I used to love Barbies. But, like, weighing in at 110 pounds is really unhealthy! It’s weird how some kids who are about 12 years old to 17 years weigh more then that! And THEY have wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy bigger breasts then Barbie. How can she walk with her tiny feet? Her boobs probably slow her down.

Someone that tall should have a muscular figure, because athletes usually have faster growth spurts than us.

It’s my opinion, but her body isn’t normal.

That means Barbie only weighs up to 110 pounds?!

And she’s THAT tall?!?! My gosh, seriously, if Barbie were a real woman ( 21 years old let’s say ) she would be too skinny and probably has anexoria, or an eating disorder, like Mary-Kate Olsen.

Don’t think bad/wrong about me, I used to love Barbie when I was little, and I still do, and I’m an adult. I collect them, and sometimes give them to my nieces/daughters. But really?! I think Barbie should gain a few more pounds.

110 pounds is not enough if Barbe is large-chested. Just look at her. She’s not falt-chested. She’s big.

Teen girls think they should look like her, but they shouldn’t. At least it’s not Bratz.

I am 13 and I am appalled by the proportions of barbie
(huge breasts, tiny waist, thin as a twig, etc.). They are
unrealistic and harmful to the way young girls see
themselves and they’re body. I have played (and still
sometimes play) with barbie throughout my childhood and
preteen years and I enjoy it but I still do not support the
way women’s bodies are portrayed throughout the different
barbies. I developed insecurities about my body (as I
presume most girls do at some point) in fourth grade and
the presence of the “perfect” barbie in my life did not help
at all. Although I think barbie would be perfectly fine, but
her unattainable body ruins it. I believe it is demeaning to
girls and women to have barbie continue as she is. The
makers should drastically change her build unto something
    more respectable and realistic.

Well, they calculated what barbie would look like if she was a human being(mesurments+ she could bnever be real because she would die of starvation) and she has a 18 inch waist! 18! I think I had a waist like that… when I was ten! Think though… if even on the rare chance barbie barely ever comes with food its like a berry, maybe half of one. Why is that you say? Its because she has to save all of her money to pay for her boobs and liposuction.

    more like 7’2″
in order to walk she would have to crawl on all fours because her feet are so small and not able to carry the weight of her boobs. she would have an extremely tiny waist line and her boobs would knock her over!

Okay, well, the toy’s directed to KIDS. Most little kids that play with barbies aren’t 110 pounds. Just like on many ‘doctor’ toy sets, the height chart only goes up to 4 feet. Why? Because the kids are that tall, and it makes them feel special that they’re tall, or they seriously want to direct it to people that size. And why would some teenager/adult be playing with this toy in the first place if they wanted to look like barbie? And if a little kid wanted to weigh like barbie, well at that age, you REALLY should be under 110 pounds. If not, then the pressure’s a GOOD thing.

….I can’t believe some of you people have taking “Fatty’s” comments seriously. It’s an utter parody. A bad one, granted, poorly thought out and absolutely amatuerish and sophomoric – but a parody.

Then again, here I am responding to an article that is over a year old. I suppose we all have problems.

And either use of the scale (I do believe it is for the Barbie doll, as it comes with a set of other mini Barbie accessories) is beyond creepy. I am herefore never buying my neice Barbie anything.

I feel sorry for you that you are so insecure about yourself and your weight that you have to beat every curvy and shapely woman out there into the ground. I agree that many Americans, myself included are not healthy, but getting healthier is my top goal right now. I am feeling better by the day. My goal is to have a hot and curvy bod naturally. Not by nipping, tucking, and implanting, but by having the extra pounds available to add some curve to my hips. If you noticed, old actresses of the 40′s and 50′s were voluptuous women, not because of plastic surgery, but because they wore size 12s!
